She has a great love for her younger brother, who was forced to hide because he was falsely accused, which was truly remarkable. And she wanted that aspect of her character to stand out in the drama. The actress went on explaining that her goal to express Do Hae Soo life was made through her neutral, achromatic styling and she also did her best to portray the role as a person who may seem weak on the outside but was brave and strong on the inside.

Talking about her heavy emotional scene where Do Hae Soo has finally reunited with her younger sibling Do Hyun Soo, the actress shared that while filming that particular scene, she was bursting into tears. Jang Hee Jin continued expressing that she immersed herself with the emotions of her characters for that shoot that even the filming was finished, those emotions remained with her for quite some time.
Though she loved her role, there was one aspect of the drama that Jang Hee Jin hopes to play out differently: It was her romantic lines for reporter Kim Moo Jin (played by Seo Hyun Woo), her boyfriend in the drama back in high school. And because their love team was also the favourite among the drama's fans, she was rooting for their romantic relationship to be rekindled in the end.
