'True Beauty' New Stills Shows a Glimpse of Hwang in Yeob's Character
The upcoming drama of tvN titled "True Beauty" has released a sneak peek of Hwang In Yeob's character in the drama!
"True Beauty" is based on a webtoon of the same title, and it is considered one of the most anticipated webtoon adaptations to drama this year. The series is a romantic comedy themed drama that tells the story of a high school girl named Lim Ju Gyeong(portrayed by Moon Ga Young) who is very insecure about her physical appearance and uses makeup to be confident. She has impressive makeup skills that she instantly turns into a goddess when she applies her makeup. However, she doesn't want anyone to see her without wearing makeup and would rather die than to be seen bare face (bare face means you are not wearing anything on your face, like makeup) to anyone.
However, one person has witnessed her bare face, and that is Lee Su Ho (played by ASTRO'S Cha Eun Woo). He is a famous boy in school who seems to have it all: the looks, good grades, money, and excellent basketball skills, plus all girls in school are dying for him but what he wants is for people like him for who he is, not for his fame or money. He may seem emotionless or cold outside, but he surprisingly has a warm heart and gets shy quickly. He also bears his own emotional scars.
In the upcoming drama's newly released stills, we will witness Hwang In Yeob's character as Han Seo Jun. As seen in the photos released, the actor gives out an intimidating aura as the reserved Han Seo Jun. One photo showcases him as wearing is uniform, and he looks so cool alighting from his motorcycle.
Another photo feature's Han Seo Jun strikingly staring eye to eye at someone. He looks very intimidating in this shot.
Despite his bad-boy looks and charm, Han Seo Jun's character turns out to be a sweet and kind-hearted boy hiding from his firm and tough appearance. Han SeoJun will be Su Ho's opponent to Ju Gyeong's heart. He crossed paths with JuGyeong by some bad events, but he fell in love with her in the end.
The drama's producers expressed their thoughts and stated that to create a perfect portrayal of his character as Han Seo Jun, Hwang In Yeob has been endlessly analyzing details such as his hairstyle and practicing the tone of voice gestures. As a result, his synchronization with the original character from the webtoon became 200 percent. The show is asking for everyone's support, and please look forward to Hwang In Yeob, who will be showcasing his intense new charms in 'True Beauty.'"
"True Beauty" is slated to premiere on December 9 at 10:30 p.m. KST and will be available with English subtitles on Viki.
