On the Nov. 15 episode of "Running Man," the cast of the show - Jeon So Min, Song Ji Hyo, and Yang Se Chan - as well as the guests of this episode - SEVENTEEN members Hoshi and Mingyu - were seen participating in a "rubber band game" to win a bowl of ramen.

To win the bowl of ramen, the players are required to place as many rubber bands around their faces as possible. The person who has the most rubber bands around their face would win and start eating first.

Yang Se Chan went first, placing a rubber band around his mouth then around the bridge of his nose. Immediately, Yang Se Chan is heard confessing that it actually hurt more than he thought it would.

Song Ji Hyo and Jeon So Min continued the game, each taking their turns, putting rubber bands over the head and around the faces. Fans spotted that the players did not look as if they were enjoying the game. Instead, they looked like they were in a lot of pain. Throughout the game, the players repeatedly expressed shock over how much it hurts.

Song Ji Hyo is even heard complaining about the pressure the rubber bands have as they dig into their skin. In the episode, she reveals that she felt as if her eyes were going to pop out from the pressure.

The guests, SEVENTEEN members Hoshi and Mingyu, were also included in the game. Hoshi was able to place eighteen rubber bands around his face, while Mingyu was able to power through with twelve rubber bands.

Following the episode's airing, Korean netizens slammed the staff, producers, and writers for not caring enough for the safety of the cast members and the guests. Many slammed the "Running Man" staff for being dangerous and reckless, and pointed out the young, impressionable audience the show has.

Read their comments here:

"What the hell? This looks extremely dangerous."

"They made the SEVENTEEN members play too? For Christ's sake, what is wrong with them? This is the dumbest thing they have done."

"This is not even funny. It's just plain disgusting... Like, what kind of game even is this? It is painful for them to play and it is painful for us to watch. It's abusive."

"What the heck??? It looks super painful."

"Um, don't people use a lot of rubber bands to crack open a watermelon? This kind of looks dangerous."

"One wrong move of the rubber band landing on their eyes. It's a disaster waiting to happen."

"I am so scared for them. What if they get hurt? 'Running Man', stop abusing these people."

"Seriously, can they please stop playing these kinds of games?"

"Why on Earth would anyone suggest this type of game?"

"Uh... They know kids watch this show too, right? What the f*ck is this game?"

"Okay, whose dumba** brain decided to play this game? You guys are insane."

"They must be crazy."

"People find this funny?"

In next week's episode trailer, which has guest Apink's Namjoo, the game is seen being played once more. Viewers are demanding "Running Man" remove that segment from the show to prevent incidents happening both on and off the show.
