Most Awaited Drama 'True Beauty' Shares a Sneak Peek Into The Characters' Love Triangle
tvN has dropped another teaser for the upcoming drama "True Beauty" that features the main characters' love triangle!
The upcoming drama "True Beauty" is based on the hit webtoon with the same title. It is a romantic comedy themed series that centers its story on Lim Ju Gyeong portrayed by Moon Ga Young, a girl who feels insecure about her physical appearance and tries to hide it by make-up. She instantly transforms into a goddess when she puts on make-up.
On the other hand, ASTRO's Cha Eun Woo will star as Lee Su Ho, a famous student in school who seems cold on the outside but is kind on the inside. He's also battling emotional problems. Another main character will be played by Hwang In Yeob, Han Seo Jun, a bad boy with a surprisingly warm heart.
In the just-released teaser for the drama, Lee Su Ho accidentally runs into Lim Ju Gyeong at a comic book store, which makes him wonder, "How did we end up running into each other here?" Lim Ju Gyeong isn't wearing any makeup that moment, and she hides from him in an attempt to hide her bare face. Lee Su Ho also wonders why she is evidently ignoring him.
Meanwhile, Lim Ju Gyeong then was feeling so desperate that her secret had been caught, regretfully saying, "It's all over." Later on, she gives Lee Su Ho a note that reads, "Thank you for not revealing my secret!!" Then a voice pleads, "Please, I beg you, can you just act like you don't have an idea about it?"
Moving forward, Lim Ju Gyeong seems to be getting the attention of the bad-boy Han Seo Jun who outspokenly asked her, "Why? Are you interested?" and when she tries to run away with his motorcycle helmet for strange reasons, he instantly pulls her by her backpack and asks, "Is running away with a helmet your way to attract attention?"
The teaser continued to feature the struggles of Lim Ju Gyeong as she tries to keep her secret. Then someone savagely asks, "What's the point of being beautiful by wearing makeup when your real face is a zero?"
Lee Su Ho and Han Seo Jun's tension is also featured in the teaser as they began to get jealous of one another, with Lee Su Ho asking his opponent, "Why do you always hang around here?" and Han Seo Jun bravely talks back, "Do you like Lim Ju Gyeong?"
The drama is helmed by Director Kim Sang-Hyub, who also made Extraordinary You, The King in Love, Glamorous Temptation, and many more, and it was written by Si-Eun.
"True Beauty" is going to broadcast on December 9 via tvN every Wednesday and Thursday at 10:30 pm KST. The drama will also be available with English subtitles on Viki.
