Lee Chung Ah and Namgoong Min Stare at Each Other Fiercely in Newly Released Stills of 'Awaken'
The brand new drama “Awaken” released a glimpse of the intense scenes between Namgoong Min and Lee Chung Ah for its upcoming episode! It is a murder-mystery drama that follows a series of mysterious events happening in the present day that are somehow connected to an enigmatic incident that occurred in a village 28 years ago.
In the drama, actor Namgoong Min portrays the character of Do Jung Woo he is considered as a legendary and brilliant team leader of a special task force at the National Police Agency. He has a rugged style with messy hair. His posture is also imperfect, and he sucks on a lollipop all day like a kid. But, despite his messy appearance, he has a mysterious secret.
Meanwhile, AOA's Seolhyun stars as Gong Hye Won, a passionate police officer who is goal-driven and doesn't let anything get in her way. She is beautiful, but behind her pretty face is a hot-tempered girl who won't stop unless she says what she needed to express. She is also considered one of the strongest and best fighters on her team. However, she's often a liitle too clumsy.
Lastly, Lee Chung Ah takes on Jamie's role, a detective on loan working for the FBI. She was adopted when she was still young, with zero memories of her past. But she comes back to Korea to solve the serial killer case related to the memories she lost 28 years ago.

In the drama's premiere, viewers were shocked by the terrifying murder which was framed as a suicide. Do Jung Woo and Gong Hye Won began an investigation to uncover the truth behind the unfortunate event. Nearing the end of the episode, it was disclosed that Jamie was connected to the incident, and Do Jung Woo stared at her with a suspicious gaze. This raised curiosity about the connection between them.
The newly released photos exhibit the duo having an intense encounter in a dark residential alley. Jamie is leaning on the wall as Do Jung Woo stares at her with piercing eyes. Keeping her composure, she also stares back and doesn't break eye contact. The tension increases between the two characters as they stare at each other.
The big question is, how exactly are these two characters connected? Will they be able to work together to solve the greatest mystery of all?
The production team of "Awaken" expressed that Jaime will unite with the special task force in the upcoming episode that airs today and will show an intense teamwork with Do Jung Woo. The teamwork between them will also increase the tension in the drama, since both actors were able to exude amazing chemistry with their perfect acting.
The second episode of "Awaken" is scheduled to broadcast on Dec. 1 at 9 p.m. KST.
