‘Secret Royal Inspector’ Star Kim Myung Soo Shares What to Look Forward to His Character
The forthcoming drama "Secret Royal Inspector" is finally set to premiere in two weeks! Recently, its characters are also giving everyone the hype as to what to expect from the drama.
Sung Yi Kyum will be played by actor and idol Kim Myung Soo. In his latest interview, he shared some of the sneak peeks of his character.
"Secret Royal Inspector" is a mystery-comedy drama set in the Joseon dynasty. In his mission to become a secret royal inspector, Sung Yi Kyum travels undercover in provinces to know and hear about the people living in the area. It is also a way for him to end the injustices and corruption in every region that he goes to.
Before Sung Yi Kyum became a new secret royal inspector, he used to have an exciting life as a public official and a player. He is hardworking, but can be clumsy at times. He is also a man of justice and will do everything to catch the people doing injustices. Corrupt government officials are not exempted from his hands.
On the other hand, before the drama premieres, Kim Myung Soo gossiped about how he started to become more alike with his drama character Sung Yi Kyum.
Myung Soo shared, "I am doing my best in understanding the character I'm going to portray so I can genuinely act. Every time I wear a hanbok (Korean traditional clothes), I naturally hold my hands behind my back and try to focus on my duties. Those are some of the characteristics that I am acquiring in my character. And I just realized and said to myself that 'Wow, I have become Sung Yi Kyum."
He described Sung Yi Kyum in these three words: compassionate, pure, and authentic. These traits will help him carry out his goals to attain peace and justice. He will also have an amazing improvement along his journey as a secret royal inspector.
Along with him in the series are actors Lee Yi Kyung and Kwon Na Ra. There is also so much to look forward to in the chemistry between Myung Soo and Na Ra. The friendship bromance of Myung Soo and Yi Kyung is also highly anticipated by the fans.
The viewers are also waiting for how their stories will unfold and how their journey will go. The compatibility of the three main casts is finally receiving support from the fans. This will also be the first time that the viewers will see actress Kwon Na Ra wearing beautiful hanboks, showing her youthful and innocent image. The comic vibe that Lee Yi Kyung holds is enough for the audience to expect another entertaining and humorous drama.
"Secret Royal Inspector" will be airing on Dec. 21 Monday at 9:30 p.m (KST).
