Kim Min Jung to Possibly Star in a New Drama Alongside GOT7 Jinyoung and Ji Sung
"Mr. Sunshine" actress Kim Min Jung is currently in talks to star alongside Ji Sung and GOT7's Jinyoung in a brand new drama!
Upon hearing the news, Kim Min Jung's agency confirmed on December 4 that the actress is currently in talks to star in the lead role in a new drama titled "The Devil Judge." A source from the agency stated that Kim Min Jung has been offered as the main female lead in the upcoming tvN show, which is said to premiere next year. The source added that Kim Min Jung is positively reviewing the offer.
tvN's new drama "The Devil Judge" will center its story on the head judge who did something unexpected. He turns the court into a reality show so he can punish those who did evil deeds. The story will also involve a chase that includes another judge's attempt to uncover the head judge's true identity.
Kim Min Jung is in talks to have been offered to play the character of Jung Sun Ah, a strong and ambitious woman. She is the only person who can make Kang Yo Han feel nervous and perspire. Though she came from a poverty-stricken family, she did her best to rise onto the ladder of society because of her brilliant mind, natural charisma, and her incomparable craving for success and power.
Ji Sung is also in talks to star in the drama. He is said to portray the character of Kang Yo Han, the titular "devil judge" and GOT7's Jinyoung is in talks to star as the character of judge Kim Ga On. Park Gyu Young is said to appear in the drama as detective Yoon Soo Hyun.

If both Kim Min Jung and Ji Sung accept the project offer, then this will mark their reunion for the first time on the small screen as they both have starred together 12 years ago in the MBC drama "New Heart" (2007).
South Korean actress Kim Min Jung was born on July 30, 1982. The 38-year-old actress started her career in the entertainment industry way back in 1988. She was only six years old when she starred in the MBC Best Theater episode Widow.
Following this, the actress appeared in numerous television dramas and was known to be one of the most in-demand and highly praised child actresses of her time. As she grew up, Kim Min Jung became one of the few Korean child actors who successfully transitioned into portraying more mature roles.
Her widely recognized TV series include "Ireland," "Fashion 70's," "New Heart," "Strike Love," and "The Thorn Birds." Kim Min Jung also graced the big screen through films like "Flying Boys," "Forbidden Quest," and "The Scam." Fast forward to 2018, the actress was cast in Kim Eun-sook's romance melodrama "Mr. Sunshine."
