Park So Dam and MAMAMOO Solar Share Their Own Past Bittersweet Love Stories
Have you been in love? We all have our own definition and experiences when it comes to love. Some of us just have the same journey but different outcomes. Meanwhile, your favorite celebrities also experienced the same thing, making them human.
In a recent episode of JTBC's "Camping Vibes," "Parasite" star Park So Dam and MAMAMOO's leader Solar openly shared their experiences about getting bittersweet love stories during their high school days.
On Dec 11, the broadcast episode of the variety show, the cast starts to reminisce about their first loves while enjoying a meal together.
Solar started, "When I was in high school, there was this guy that really I liked. But he didn't like me back. So I told him, 'You, like me back. Like me too.'"
She continued, "Before, I thought that if I said that to him, I would get a response like 'Okay, let's see.' But he frankly said that it would never happen. That is when I should have given up, but instead, I talked to him and said, 'No. I'll give you time.'"
What a brave queen indeed!
And Solar honestly shared that after saying that to the guy that he likes, he started to avoid her.
Meanwhile, it is Park So Dam's turn. She explained, "My first love was when I was in second year of middle school. My friend and I both liked the same guy. We all attended the same school, and he looked so cool wearing a uniform. Me and my friend did not even know his name, so we gave him the name of 'Uniform.' Everytime we see him, we would say to each other 'Uniform is here, Uniform just passed by!'"
The actress went on, "Not until one day, I was surprised because I received a text message from an unknown number. It happened to be Uniform. It turned out that he got my number through my friend who is rooting for me. Uniform and I went on a date, I can't even say that it was a date, I didn't even get the chance to hold his hand. After that one date, he then told me, 'Let's break up.'"
When Park So Dam was asked by one of her cast members why, she explained, "He was attending cram school to get into a foreign language high school, back then. So his reason for breaking up with me was to study hard and get into that foreign language school, but he didn't end up there (foreign language school) though."
The other members expressed their disbelief about his excuse, Park So Dam went on explaining, "After we broke up, I confessed my feelings to him and asked if we could get back together, I kept on asking him that for two years."
Park So Dam also expressed that when she looks back on it now, she can't believe that she was once like that. She also shared that she spent so much time in her room listening to Gummy's "If You Come Back" for two years.
She thought that if she didn't have him, there would never be another guy for her again, because she really liked him so much. She was always crying alone in her room while listening to sad songs during middle school, and it was all because of her first love Uniform.
The cast members asked her to give a message during the show and Park So Dam quickly turned to the camera and laughed, "You said you broke up with me because you were going to a foreign language school? You rejected me for almost four times!"
She added, "But Uniform was really handsome."
