Kwon Nara, Kim Myung Soo, and Lee Yi Kyung Great Chemistry in the Drama ‘Secret Royal Inspector’
Before their drama aired, the three main leads Kwon Nara, Kim Myung Soo, and Lee Yi Kyung, already developeda great chemistry during the filming of the upcoming drama "Secret Royal Inspector."
KBS 2TV new comic mystery drama "Secret Royal Inspector" is set in the Joseon dynasty. The story is about a secret royal inspector named Sung Yi Kyum, played by Kim Myung Soo, who travels undercover from one province to another to inspect and catch people who are involved in corruption and injustices. He is also ready to help the people in getting the justice that they deserve. Meanwhile, Lee Yi Kyung will be playing the character of Park Choo Sam, the right-hand servant of Sung Yi Kyum.
One of the boys, Hong Da In, is the character of Kwon Nara. She is a damo, which means a woman who works for the Joseon government office. She will also become an undercover as a gisaeng (a highly trained woman who entertains men with music and arts).
In a recent interview, the cast talked about their relationship with each other while working for the drama. Kim Myung Soo humbly and confidently said, "The three of us have good chemistry, and we are very close to each other. We made a lot of bloopers because it's enjoyable working together. We know each other so well, and they are also perfectly immersed with their characters."
On the other hand, Kwon Nara shared that they are all around the same age, and it is one of the reasons why they talk a lot with each other. She also added, "As we continue working (together), our teamwork gets better and better. Lee Yi Kyung is really comical off camera, but once we started filming, he is professionally immersed with his character."
Comedian and actor Lee Yi Kyung also shared his experience in working with his co-stars, "I met Kim Myung Soo and Kwon Nara for the first time through this project, and the atmosphere of the set is so amazing that I am already in fear of saying goodbye. They are the kind of people who are pure, kind-hearted, and very considerate."
He also expressed the magic behind their good teamwork, "Most of all, I think the reason behind our strong chemistry is that we can create great synergy by building up our passion in acting, and the rest comes naturally."
Also, apart from sharing their thoughts about each other. The drama also gives a sneak peek of Kwon Nara's character wearing different kinds of hanbok (traditional Korean dresses). Her persona as Hong Da In shows a great image of beauty and grace while confidently wearing hanbok. But, even though she has an alluring and elegant appearance, she is hiding a deep secret.
"Secret Royal Inspector" is scheduled to air on Dec. 21 at 9:30 p.m (KST)
