Lee Do Hyun to Star in a New Retro Romance Drama ‘Youth of May’
After his magnificent acting in the previous drama "18 Again," Lee Do Hyun will once again show his skills in a new drama on the coming year 2021. The forthcoming KBS 2TV's drama "Youth of May" has finally confirmed its lead cast!
The drama tells the story of young people running towards their own destiny without even knowing what kind of journey they will encounter. It'll be a retro romance drama that will show the passion that underlies the group of young adults living through May 1980.
The cast will be composed of talented stars starting from Lee Do Hyun, Go Min Si, Lee Sang Yi, and Geum Sae Rok.
Lee Do Hyun will be portraying the character of Hwang Hee Tae, a medical student who aims to break all the stereotypes grasped against him. He can be mischievous, but his determination and drive to seek what is truth wis what makes him standout.
The role of Kim Myung Hee will be played by Go Min Si, a third-year nursing student who was challenged by her life struggles before getting to where she is. She will depict a strong and independent woman who doesn't give up easily, especially in life. Her portrayal is expected to draw the viewers' attention because she will show a lot of emotional acting, which involves being optimistic depsite being vulnerable.
Geum Sae Rok will also be taking part as one of the lead casts. She will be Lee Soo Ryun, a law student who has an positivepersonality. She is best friends with Kim Myung Hee. She's also from a wealthy family, however, she felt pressure growing up. At a young age, she already felt like she was being forced to follow her family's footsteps in securing justice with societal issues.
The actor Lee Sang Yi will be showing his smart and chic personality as Lee Soo Ryun, who is the older brother of Lee Soo Chan. After he returned from studying abroad in France, he helped his father with running their family business in Korea.
Meanwhile, Lee Do Hyun has been receiving various projects showing that he is continuously excelling in his crafts. He is receiving great love for his amazing talent and his warm and captivating visuals. Fans are already excited to see another side of him and how he will bring life to his new character as Hwang Hee Tae. Lee Do Hyun is also starring in a new Netflix series, "Sweet Home," that is currently receiving a lot of support from the audience around the globe.
Meanwhile, "Youth of May" is penned by Lee Gang, who also wrote "Spy," and will be directed by Song Min Yeob, who previously handled "Doctor Prisoner." New retro romance drama is set to premiere in Spring of 2021.
