‘Youn’s Stay’ Receives Good Viewership Rating after First Broadcast
tvN's new cooking show "Youn's Stay" marked a good start as they already received good viewership ratings with its first episode!
"Youn's Stay" is a popular Korean cooking TV show that features a group of Korean celebrities, opening and handling Korean restaurants in small towns overseas. But due to travel restrictions, the producers had to change the concept and decided to do it in South Korea. The cast is composed of Youn Yun Jung, Lee Seo Jin, Jung Yu Mi, Park Seo Joon, and Choi Woo Sik that started to air on Jan 8.

Before they started filming, all of the cast and production staff tested negative for the coronavirus. The first episode of "Youn's Stay" already garnered an average rating of 8.2 percent in the metropolitan area according to Nielsen Korea.
During its first season, which was filmed in Indonesia, the show received an average rating of 14.1 percent. For its second season that took place in Spain, it garnered an average rating of 16 percent and both have an impressive viewership rating.
The third season of "Youn's Stay" was filmed in South Jeolla Province. It has been revealed in the first episode why they chose the province as their location. Everything seems organized so that the guest could spend their stay in a safe and beautiful place.
The house is separated from the outside by a wall that is largely divided into a lower neighborhood. It has a kitchen, a reception, a staff room, and a dining room for each team. The upper part of the neighborhood has three separate hanok houses. It is also where the most difficult journey of the team takes place. From preparing all the ingredients, cooking, until serving the food to the visitors.
In addition, after the pilot episode aired the hanok stay in Gurye, South Jeolla Province was already flooded with inquiries and reservations.
The owner of the place announced on their website, "We have temporarily halted our operation due to other schedules. We will soon provide information about the resume of our operation."
Meanwhile, the actors compared their previous experiences in season one to season three, Lee Seo Jin said that "Youn's Restaurant" was easier, which was immediately agreed by Park Seo Joon.

They prepared Korean food such as tteokgalbi (beef patties), jeon (pan fried vegetables) and gungjung tteokbokki as the first meal that was served for the guests. Aside from cooking, they also have to learn different tasks of preparing the guesthouse and picking up the guests, which is new to them because they were not able to do it the previous seasons.
But all in all, the show has been gaining attention, a new kind of show that gives them a challenging vibe and the viewers are also looking forward to what menu they will cook soon for their visitors.
