Kang Daniel to Possibly Make His Acting Debut in Disney+’s ‘Our Police Course’
Korean media outlets reported on Feb. 1 that the celebrity would star in Disney+'s "Our Police Course." According to a source from his agency, KONNECT Entertainment shared that Kang Daniel will possibly star as the male lead in 'Our Police Course,' and the artist is still reviewing the offer.
"Our Police Course" features a story of young adults in Korea who tries to balance life, achieve their dreams, experience love, and go through difficulties at a police university. These young adults will try to make their way through college life in their own phase in one of the most conservative and exclusive campuses in the country.
Kang Daniel is Offered To Star As An Aspiring Police Officer
Kang Daniel is offered to portray the character of Wi Seung Hyun, the son of the Commissioner of the Gyeonggi Dongbu Police Agency. Wi Seung Hyun admires his father so much that he wanted to follow in his footsteps and even topped the university entrance exam. Wi Seung Hyun is a good looking boy and smart. His most important trait is being loyal and responsible. As he sets out to follow his father's footsteps and achieving his dreams, he will face challenges along the way when he crosses paths with a woman named Go Eun Gang.

Kang Daniel's Simple Beginnings in the Industry
South Korean singer, songwriter, and entrepreneur Kang Daniel was born on December 10, 1996. 24-year-old celebrity became known in the industry after finishing first in the second season of the reality competition series Produce 101. Kang Daniel is the former member of the show's derivative boy group Wanna One.
Kang Daniel's birth name was Kang Eui-geon, and he decided to legally change it to Daniel because his family and some of his friends are having a hard time pronouncing his real name (Eui-geon). In a previous interview, the singer and songwriter revealed that the source of inspiration of his name (Daniel) was taken from a biblical figure. Kang Daniel discovered his talent in dancing in eighth grade through a b-boy club he joined when his teacher inspired him to join. He also once revealed that he felt unaccepted when he was in elementary school because of his appearance and developed a passion and built self-esteem through dancing.

Before his appearance in Produce 101 Season 2, Kang Daniel had trained for two years and one month. At first, he appeared as a trainee under B2M Entertainment until its acquisition and then became a trainee under MMO Entertainment. One of his highlights as a trained was when he appeared on Her Secret Weapon, performing "Invitation" by Uhm Jung Hwa, where he was a backup dancer to the performers, namely Fiestar's Cao Lu and Spica's Sihyun.
