NCT Doyoung Teases Fans with His Upcoming Web Drama ‘Cafe Midnight’
NCTzens, are you all ready? The long wait is finally over - actor Doyoung will finally be debuting as an actor!
Apart from his dancing skills, commendable singing voice, and being part of one of the most sought-after boy groups, NCT's main vocalist Doyoung is all set to prove he is multifaceted as he will finally showcase his acting skills in an upcoming web drama.
NCT Doyoung to Play His First-Ever Lead Role
On Feb. 3, fans were surprised by the unexpected release of the trailer for the forthcoming season three of the web drama "Cafe Midnight: The Curious Stalker."
This will be Doyoung's first-ever lead role. He is expected to play the character of Son Ji Woo, an 18-year-old high school student who has the power to see the future. He is known as the perfect student, for having high grades, good personality, and perfect visuals.
Kim In Yi, one of the rising actresses in Korea, will be playing as the female lead in the said series. She had her acting debut in a web drama "The Female Friend Among Guys" and also worked in various YouTube channel projects.
Fantasy drama "Cafe Midnight" will tell the story of healing and growth at a cafe located in a mountain corridor in Busan. The cafe is open from midnight to sunrise, and what makes it strange is that it is not located on the map.
In the newly-unveiled trailer, Son Ji Woo is diligently searching for the location of the cafe. Amazingly, after a long night walk, he finally found the place he had been looking for. The moment he entered the cafe, a woman working inside the shop recognized him.
The following clips show that Son Ji Woo has been visiting the cafe more often, as if he is curious to know something. This short yet interesting video clip makes the viewers wonder what to look forward to in the upcoming web drama.
It Runs in the Blood: NCT Doyoung's Brother is Actually a Known Actor!
Not everyone is aware that NCT Doyoung's older brother, Gong Myung, is in fact an actor who already made a lot of promising dramas and shows in the industry.
Doyoung was also featured in some of the famous shows in South Korea, such as "Lipstick Prince," "King of Masked Singer," and "Law of the Jungle." He has been captivating the fans with his mellifluous voice and dance moves as a member of NCT.
But now, Doyoung will be unveiling a new piece of him through acting.
