2PM's Junho and Lee Se Young are in talks to star in a brand new historical drama titled "The Red Sleeve Cuff'!
According to reports released by some industry representatives on March 9, actors Junho and Lee Se Young are offered to star in a new drama titled "The Red Sleeve Cuff". In response to the reports circulating, JYP Entertainment, 2PM's Junho's agency announced that the actor is positively reviewing the casting offer in MBC's new drama "The Red Sleeve Cuff".

Meanwhile, Lee Se Young's agency, Prain TPC also responded stating that the actress is also positively reviewing the casting offer.
Details of the upcoming drama "The Red Sleeve Cuff"
"The Red Sleeve Cuff" is based on a webtoon with the same title. It features the story of the royal noble consort Ui of the Seong clan who is the mother of Crown Prince Mun Hyo. She initially started as a court lady but as the story progress, she rose to the highest rank among the women of the internal court as the first senior rank of Bin. The drama will showcase life twists that happened when an ordinary court lady becomes the mother of the crown prince.

2PM's Junho and Lee Se Young's Casting Offer in "The Red Sleeve Cuff"
Actress Lee Se Young is said to star as the character of the royal noble consort Ui. Junho on the other hand was offered to portray the character of the next monarch named Yi San Jeongjo. He was born as the direct descendant and eldest grandson of the King. He does his best and works very hard to become the perfect successor that his grandfather King Yeongjo wants him to be. However, he is still living a traumatized life from the death of Crown Prince Sado, his father.

"The Red Sleeve Cuff" will be helmed by director Jung Ji In who previously created "Radiant Office" and "Hold Me Tight". The drama will be penned by scriptwriter Jung Hae Ri who also wrote the hit drama "Ruler: Master of the Mask". The drama is set to premiere in September following Park Ha Sun and Namgoong Min's upcoming drama "Black Sun".
If Junho accepts this project offer, then this will mark as his first project after his discharge from his mandatory service later this month. For those who don't know, Junho began his mandatory military service as a public service worker and he is set to be discharged on March 20, 2021.

Junho debuted as an actor in the Korean movie "Cold Eyes" way back in 2013. Then he became widely recognized in the acting industry through his roles in "Twenty", "Good Manager", and "Rain or Shine".
For Lee Se Young, this will be his first drama after her last project "Kairos' which aired last year (2020).
The actress started her career in the entertainment industry as a child actress and became well known for her portrayal in films namely "When I Turned Nine", and "The Wonder Years".
