Way back in November 2020, reports circulated that "Descendants of the Sun" actress Song Hye Kyo was offered to star as the main lead in a new drama set in the fashion world. Her agency immediately responded to the news at that time and stated that this was one project that the actress was considering to star in.

"Now, We Are Breaking Up" will feature the story of emotional love and going through breakups. The drama is penned by writer Je In, who also wrote "Misty." It will be helmed by director Lee Gil Bok, who previously worked on hit dramas "My Love From the Star," "Vagabond," and "Dr. Romantic 2."
"Now, We Are Breaking Up" is said to start its filming process in April and will broadcast via SBS in the second half of this year (2021).
