'Joseon Exorcist' Preview: Jang Dong Yoon, Kim Dong Jun, and Geum Sae Rok Work Together to Fight Evil
The upcoming historical-themed drama "Joseon Exorcist" released a teaser featuring the teamwork of its lead stars Jang Dong Yoon, Kim Dong Jun, and Geum Sae Rok!
"Joseon Exorcist" Short Synopsis
The drama takes place after the establishment of the Joseon dynasty. It centers its story on the war with the undead who comes back to take revenge after being killed by the royal family.
Handsome actor Jang Dong Yoon will portray the character of Prince Chungnyeong, a young man who likes to read books. One day, he was forced to take responsibility to fight and protect the Kingdom of Joseon from evil spirits.
Kam Woo Sung will take the role of the cold-blooded monarch, Kim Taejong, who sets out to control the spirits. He harbors a deep sense of guilt for taking lives while helping his father build the Joseon Dynasty.
Park Sung Hoon, on the other hand, will play Yangnyeong, who made a dangerous agreement with the spirits to protect his loved ones.
Other cast members include Kim Dong Jun, who will portray the character of Byeo Ri as a societal outcast. He became an outcast because of his peasant birth, and carries with him a deep sense of loneliness and frustration. In the traveling troupe, he is assigned to physical feats, and this has resulted in him being skilled at using weapons.
And lastly, Geum Sae Rok plays Hye Yoom, the mascot of the troupe. She gains a lot of attention due to her beautiful appearance.
Jang Dong Yoon, Kim Dong Jun, and Geum Sae Rok will team up to fight the evil spirits trying to take over Josen!

The newly released "Joseon Exorcist" teaser video features the synergy between Jang Dong Yoon, Kim Dong Jun, and Geum Sae Rok. The teaser starts with a voiceover that warns, "These people are real hunters who disguise themselves as a traveling troupe. They earn money by capturing migrants."
We can see the troupe performing while the crowd is happily watching and cheering for them. They are filled with energy while they perform. However, after their performance, we witnessed the dissatisfaction on their faces. Byeo Ri looks at a distance, deeply thinking about something.
Hye Yoom, on the other hand, looks sad and frustrated with the way they currently live. Her voiceover states, "Nobody in Joseon treats us like decent human beings! How long are we going to live like this?"
The next scene depicts the third prince, Prince Chungnyeong, who is powerless, and his brother Prince Yangnyeong who discouraged him by saying, "Do not desire anything. Live like you are firewood or a pillar."
The traveling troupe and the discouraged prince will join forces and take a journey together. By faces certain challenges together, their trust in each other starts to grow until they promise to protect Prince Chungnyeong. Then a royal subject tells the prince not to give his trust to the lowly manhunters. The prince replied, those lowly manhunters saved our lives twice.
"Joseon Exorcist" is scheduled to premiere on March 22 at 10:00 p.m. KST! Check out the teaser video here!
