"Reply 1988's" Ryu Hye Young shares details with her upcoming drama "Law School."

In a recent report, the 29-year-old actress revealed her experience filming the much-awaited JTBC series.

Ryu Hye Young Expressed Her Excitement to Play the Role of Kang Sol A

The actress mentioned that she has been looking forward to portray a character related to law, adding that she was thrilled that she was given the "good opportunity to enter law school just in time."

Directed by Kim Suk Yoon, whose famous works include the "Detective K" movie series, the forthcoming drama stars Ryu Hye Young as Kang Sol A, alongside Kim Bum, Lee Soo Kyung, Lee David, Lee Jung Eun, and Kim Myung Min.

It follows the story of students and faculties of South Korea's top law school who have been involved in a highly unusual case.

Ryu Hye Young plays the role of Kang Sol A, a tenacious first-year law student who grew up struggling financially but managed to enter a prestigious law school.

With her, Kang Sol A was with fellow freshman Han Joon Hwi, played by Kim Bum, a natural leader who is always at the top of his class.

Ryu Hye Young Admits to Have Struggled with "Wave of Emotions" While Filming "Law School"

During the interview, the "Heart to Heart" actress mentioned that she finds her character interesting, especially the activities at law school.

"Since all the activities at law school, such as participating in a trial and sharing a conversation that goes deep into law, are things that aren't common in everyday life, all the scenes in the project felt valuable," she explained.

Moreover, Ryu Hye Young also admitted that she "became emotionally invested" in some scenes and shares that she "experienced a wave of emotions."

Despite these, she revealed that she engaged herself in maintaining an open communication towards the director and discussed some parts that she finds "awkward."

"The director had a certain rhythm he wanted with the legal terms. I tried to practice as much as I could to get that speed and rhythm, and I actively discussed with him the parts that were awkward," she went on.

Ryu Hye Young Felt "Honored" Working with Veteran Actors

When it comes to adjusting for her role, Ryu Hye Young shared that she slowly tried to work on herself and later found "running to prepare for the next scene" and finishing her job.

Moreover, she also expressed her gratitude and felt "honored" for portraying Kang Sol A's role.

The actress mentioned that being in "Law School" made her "learn a lot about life."

At the same time, Ryu Hye Young shared that working with award-winning actors like Kim Myung Min were a privilege and a "blessing."

On the other hand, the production team praised Kim Bum and Ryu Hye Young's team-up and pointed out that they set a "kind of young energy that only those in the same peer group can make."

JTBC's upcoming drama is slated to debut on April 14, every Wednesday and Thursday, taking over the action-drama "Sisyphus: The Myth" that stars Park Shin Hye, Cho Seung Woo, Chae Jong Hyeop, and Lee Shi Woo.
