There, the officers explained that the evidence all pointed at him and showed that he planted the drug in professor Seo's coffee and offered it to him.

However, he opposed this by saying that if he killed his colleague, he would never leave his prints on the scene and "plead the fifth" amid the continuing probe by the investigators.

Following his case, the elite university faced a challenging situation since the bad publicity means the institution might lose its funding. This also raised the question as to whether or not the law should be dismissed as a faculty member.

Following the interrogation, the police present a search and seize order to Yang Jong-Hoon for him to unlock his phone.

There, the investigators saw that the professor was looking into the 2008 Jurae-dong hit-and-run case. Then a flashback to the scene where Professor Seo and Yang Jong-Hoon are scrutinizing lee Man-ho to reveal the details and if he saw the plate of the car.

Lee Man-ho then asks the two what's in it for him if he spills out the details.

In the present, the investigators realize that the professor is linking his late colleague and believes that he is involved in the crime.

Han Joon Hwi's Bitter Relationship to Professor Seo

At the university, it's business as usual for the law students as they are preparing for their midterm exams.

In a scene dated March 2020, a petition caused a commotion among the students. It was Han Joon-hwi who put up the petition and urged his fellow students to sign it. The faculty threatened him to file a lawsuit against him and instructed him to get an attorney.

The said appeal was to counter Professor Seo's appointment at the university because of his land bribery issue. Interestingly, the professor turned out to be Han Joon-Hwi's uncle.

"Law School" episode 2 also unveils why Han Joon-Hwi wanted to enroll in the university and become a prosecutor. He mentioned to his uncle privately that he did not want to be like him, adding that he only got away with his bribery case due to the lack of evidence.

Professor Yang Jong Hoon's Statement

In the present day, professor Yang Jong-Hoon was brought to the crime scene to reenact the day that professor Seo died.

A flashback of Yang Jong-Hoon showed that he caught Seo Byung-Ju taking drugs and mixing it into his coffee while inside the school. He then mentioned that he must have been high when he ran over the kid that Lee Man Ho witnessed.

Yang Jong-Hoon revealed that Professor Seo confessed to him regarding his hit and run case. In addition, he also mentioned that he placed a pack of sugar in his coffee and dumped the methamphetamine into the sink.

Right after this, professor Seo went into hypoglycemic shock.

The Unexpected Twist

At the scene, Yang Jong-Hoon looked at Han Joon-Hwi and accused him of murdering his uncle.

"It was you," he said.

A flashback on Professor Seo's death showed that Han Joon-Hwi pushed his uncle to the stairs that caused his death.
