At present, Kim Soo Hyun has already been deemed the wealthiest celebrity in Korea.

The actor was first listed in the Forbes Korea Power Celebrity way back in 2013, placing fourth.  He has stayed on the list for quite some time, landing the second rank in 2015 and going down a bit to the fifth in 2016. The actor worked hard for every penny he has, though.  

He has starred in several successful television dramas throughout Asia, which established him as one of the top Hallyu stars. Not all of these shows had him as the lead stars, but he has a couple of shows where he played the main protagonist. 

Playing Do Min Joon in "My Love From the Stars," had him imprinted in many memories.

The popular South Korean Actor Kim Soo Hyun is also reportedly earning 100 billion KRW through various endorsements. He has partaken in multiple Korean and Chinese commercials already.  

Kim Soo Hyun Net Worth 2021 Substantially Increased by "The Night"

Back in March this year, it was reported that the actor could be breaking some records when it comes to salaries for actors. 

According to some media outlets, Kim Soo Hyun is reportedly slated to earn a whopping 500 million KRW or around 450,000 USD for his upcoming lead role in the newest drama "That Night."

Not only is this already the highest in K-drama history, but the amount might also even increase further. The compensation can increase based on possible advertisements, including copyright sales, product placements, and many more linked to the show.

Because his salary has become the talk of the town, Kim Soo Hyun's agency, Gold Medalist, took it upon itself to release a statement addressing the reports, claiming it is impossible to "confirm the reports regarding his salary." 

"The Night" is reportedly based on the British TV series. "Criminal Minds." 

Kim Soo Hyun New Project 2021: "One Ordinary Day"

The actor is undoubtedly having a hectic year. After "The Night," Kim Soo Hyun is also part of "One Ordinary Day," which is another remake of a BBC show, this time called "Criminal Justice." 

The show will only be shown in Coupang Play, as this is the new video streaming design's first-ever exclusive content.
