In every Korean drama, there's always the comforting moms, a.k.a eommas or eomonis, who always stood by the lead protagonist's side.

These K-drama moms often gave their sons or daughters insightful advice as they showered them with their love and affection that surely melted the viewers' hearts.

However, just like the true blue Asian moms, they also showed imperfections which illustrates as a cold and strict parent that would sometimes make their children upset.

Despite these circumstances, the so-called tough love is for the best interest of their kids.

In celebration of mother's day, we give you a rundown of the top five all-time favorite eommas in the K-drama world.

Lee Jeong Eun

A remarkably versatile actress, Lee Jeong Eun is best known for her astounding performance in the award-winning film "Parasite" directed by Bong Joon Ho.

 In the black comedy thriller film, she played the role of Moon Gwang, who works as the longtime helper for the wealthy Park family.

Aside from this, she also appeared in the hit drama "Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo, "where she portrays Nam Joo Hyuk's adoptive mother and Gong Hyo Jin's loving mother, Jo Jung Sook, in the 2019 drama "When the Camellia Blooms."

Lee Jeong Eun is currently part of the crime thriller drama "Law School," playing the lead role of court master turned law professor Kim Eun Sook.
