Heize Drops 'Happen' Music Video, Reveals What's It Like to Work With "VIncenzo" Star, Song Joong-KI

It was recently announced by Psy that Song Joong-Ki is so kind that he willingly lent his time for a relatively young artist of the P Nation, Heize. Psy, known for his hit "Gangnam Style," explained that he was very reluctant to ask the "Vincenzo" actor to be part of Heize's music video but was pleasantly surprised when the actor agreed.

Haiez Talks Working with Song Joong Ki

Heize now talks about how it was like to work with the actor on the official music video of her upcoming hit, "Happen," revealing how dedicated Song Joong-Ki could be, which kind of worried her.

According to Heize, she was constantly worried about getting into the way of Song Joong-Ki's acting during filming. This is a valid fear, considering how experienced Song Joong-Ki is in acting compared to Heize.

Heize can even be described as simply being starstruck to have the well-loved actor, who has a massive local and international following on her music video.

She shared that the actor truly strived to get into his role, and do his job perfectly, regardless of the fact that this is not that big of a project compared to what the actor has done in the past with other people.

"Song Joong Ki, who acts really well, starred in my music video. I was really worried I would disturb him as Song Joong Ki sunbaenim was trying to understand the scenes and how he would act out his facial expressions, so I worried alone a lot," she explained. "He's someone who came to help me, and I was afraid I would be disturbing him. However, apart from that, it was an honor, and I'm so grateful," she added.

"Happen" is the title song of Heize's seventh mini-album of the same name. Even though she only signed up with P Nation last September 2020, the singer-songwriter and rapper already built a solid portfolio. Her soulful voice is what is behind the OSTs of K-drama favorites, such as It's Okay To Not Be Okay, When The Camellia Blooms, Hotel Del Luna, and Goblin.

Heize and Song Joong-Ki Show How Fated Love Looks Like in "Happen" Music Video

On May 20, Heize dropped her music video for "Happen" starring Song Joong Ki.

"Happen" has an upbeat and happy vibe to it, but the lyrics and the music video showed how fated romance between two people could be complicated and not all fun.

In the MV, Heize and Song Joong Ki crossed paths several times but never got the chance to interact immediately.

It is reportedly about meeting someone who makes you question whether you're meant to come across them in life in the first place given all the missed opportunities to interact in the past, or whether there is even something as "being fated together." Do things happen for a reason? Or do they just happen?
