So Ji Sub to Possibly Make His Drama Comeback with ‘Doctor Lawyer’

One of the much-awaited returns of K-drama actors might finally happen this 2022!
Prominenct actor So Ji Sub is in discussions to participate in a new drama, "Doctor Lawyer," and here's what we know so far.
51K Confirmed that So Ji Sub is in Talks to Lead the Forthcoming Drama "Doctor Lawyer"
On May 26, according to 51K, the home agency of "Oh My Venus" star So Ji Sub, received a casting offer to be part of the upcoming series "Doctor Lawyer."
One of their official representatives stated, "'Doctor Lawyer' is one of the projects that So Ji Sub has received an offer for."
The drama is said to be a heartwarming series that will tell the story of a genius surgeon, who later on becomes a medical malpractice lawyer after he was involved in a fabricated surgery, and he is also a prosecutor who is in the Medical Crimes Department.
He, who encounters endless challenges in life, will enlighten those people who believe that the wealth and power of someone cannot be used as comfort to the victims who suffered from injustices.

So Ji Sub to Possibly Take on Another Challenging Drama Role
If "The Master's Sun" star accepts the offer, he is expected to portray the character of Han Yo Han, a medical malpractice lawyer who used to be a brilliant doubled-board certified doctor with specialties in thoracic and general surgeries.
Before the unfortunate event happened in his life, Han Yi Han was in Bansuk University Hospital and known as an ace surgeon. He is a kind doctor who always makes his colleagues feel comfortable and relaxed despite the continued work in the hospital.
Jang Hong Chul, who penned "Mr. Temporary," will be the one to write the script for "Doctor Lawyer." The drama is scheduled to air in the first quarter of 2022.

When the "One Sunny Day" star decided to pursue the project, this will be So Ji Sub's first-ever drama after almost four years of being on hiatus in the entertainment industry. His last series was "Terius Behind Me" in 2018, which made him receive a daesang.
So Ji Sub is also returning on the big screen with "Alien," alongside star-studded cast Ryu Jun Yeol, Kim Woo Bin, Kim Tae Ri, Yum Jung Ah, Lee Na Hee, Jo Woo Jin, Kim Eui Sung, and Yoo Jae Myung. The film already wrapped up its last filming session in April 2021, and is now ready to meet the audience anytime soon.
