‘Penthouse 3’ Star Eugene ‘Proud’ of BTS’ Global Fame
"Penthouse 3" star Eugene shares her thoughts about the success of South Korea's pride, BTS.
It came after the SBS variety show "Tiki-taCAR" shared a sneak peek of their upcoming episode featuring the 40-year-old singer-actress.
Penthouse 3 star Eugene Praises BTS' Massive Stardom
In the teaser, the "All About My Mom" star lauded the boy group and said that she was surprised with BTS' global stardom.
The group, which consists of V, Jin, Jungkook, RM, Jimin, J-Hope, and Suga, debuted in 2013 under Big Hit Entertainment.
Years later, they reached worldwide fame and landed several awards and nominations, including Billboard, MTV, People's Choice Awards, and more.
Moreover, Eugene gets honest and shares that she feels envious and proud of the seven-member South Korean boy band.
"I'm so jealous and proud of BTS," she revealed, adding, "As a first-generation idol, I feel the momentum."

Eugene's Transition from Idol to Award-Winning Actress
Before debuting as an actress, Eugene was introduced as a member of a girl group called "S.E.S" in 1997.
Considered as one of the OG female groups, the three-member group under SM Entertainment tookSouth Korea by storm in the late 1990s and early 2000s with their hit songs "I'm Your Girl," " Be Natural," "Just A Feeling," "I Love You" and more.
Unfortunately, the K-pop group officially disbanded in December 2002.
As for Eugene, whose real name is Kim Yoo Jin, she landed her first-ever drama and lead role in the same year, with KBS' "Loving You," alongside Park Yong Ha, Lee Dong Wook, and Lee Yoo Ri.
This was followed by another lead role in "Save the Last Dance for Me," "Wonderful Life," "Three Dads One Mom," and more.
Interestingly, she managed to score her first-ever award in 2011 as Special Short Drama Actress for KBS Drama Awards through her impressive performance in "Princess Hwapyung's Weight Loss."
With more than two decades in the industry, the Penthouse 3 star continues to be one of South Korea's brightest stars.
She is currently making headlines and receiving a positive response from the public with her astounding portrayal of Oh Yoon Hee in the top rating K-drama "Penthouse 3."
The former KPop star worked alongside award-winning stars, including Lee Ji Ah, Uhm Ki Joon, and Kim So Yeon, who recently won Best Actress at Baeksang Arts Awards 2021.
Eugene Talks about Her Experience in "Penthouse 3: War in Life"
Prior to "Penthouse 3" debut, Eugene briefly spoke about her character, Oh Yoon Hee.
At the press conference, she admitted that she "felt a bit of discomfort" for the characters who did not make up for their wrongdoings.
Moreover, the actress also hints about the final season and says that the doting mother will try to strive "to achieve justice this season."

"Penthouse 3" episode 2 showed that Oh Yoon Hee has teamed up with Shim Su Ryeon (Lee Ji Ah) in order to take their revenge against the vicious Joo Dan Tae (Uhm Ki Joon.)
However, based on the teaser released by SBS, it appeared that Su Ryeon is starting to doubt Oh Yoon Hee.
