Kim Young Dae is set to lead the upcoming K-drama "Shooting Star" after reportedly dropping out of KBS' "School 2021."
Back in May, the broadcasting network announced the official lineup that completed the cast, including the "Penthouse 3" actor alongside Kim Yo Han, Hwang Bo Reum Byeol, and "Hospital Playlist" actress Jo Yi Hyun.
Kim Young Dae Drops Out of Upcoming K-Drama "School 2021"
Unfortunately, months before the "School 2021" premiere, Kim Young Dae withdrew his appearance due to an alleged miscommunication.
According to a news outlet, a drama representative revealed that there are details that were not "originally discussed," prompting disagreements between both parties.
"It was different from what was originally discussed, and we exchanged the intention that we could no longer be together," the rep stated.
With Kim Young Dae dropping out of the upcoming K-drama, the representative also noted that the actors replacing him have been trimmed down, and the casting will soon be finalized.
The 25-year old actor was set to play the role of high school student Jeong Young Joo in the drama, to debut on November 24.

Kim Young Dae in Talks to Star Opposite Lee Sung Kyung in "Shooting Star"
Amid his surprising move from upcoming K-drama "School 2021," the up and coming actor is in talks to appear in KBS' "Shooting Star."
This was confirmed by Kim Young Dae's agency, Outer Korea, revealing that the actor has been courted to appear as the lead star.
"It's true that Kim Young Dae received an offer from tvN's new drama "Shooting Star." We are currently discussing whether to appear," a representative from the management revealed.
If he accepts the offer, the "Cheat On Me, If You Can" star will take on the role of Gong Tae Seong, a young drama actor.
Moreover, he will be working alongside Lee Sung Kyung as one of the lead stars.

However, as of the moment, the "Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo" is still in talks and is "positively considering" the offer, as shared by Lee Sung Kyung's agency, YG Entertainment.
The forthcoming K-drama "Shooting Star" follows the story of professionals who work behind-the-scenes in the world of entertainment. This includes the managers, reporters, and PR firms who are involved in promotions and productions of shows.
Kim Young Dae Recognitions Following his Appearance in "Penthouse" Trilogy
The said drama is Kim Young Dae's next series following his mega-hit SBS drama "Penthouse 3: War in Life."
To recall, he cemented his name in showbiz and earned recognition due to his astounding performance as the good twin, Joo Seok Hoon.
He was recently nominated as Best New Actor in the TV category at the Baeksang Arts Awards 2021 but lost to Lee Do Hyun for his drama "18 Again."
