"Kingdom: Ashin of the North" star Kim Shih Ah surprised fans with her charm as she landed her first-ever magazine shoot with Elle Korea.

The child star transformed the atmosphere with her delightful and bubbly aura as she graced the magazine's August issue.

In a series of photos, the 13-year-old actress dons a new haircut flaunting the blunt bob trend as she sports an all-white ensemble that suits her sweet and angelic vibe.

Kim Shih Ah Details her Experience in "KIngdom: Ashin of the North"

"The Closet" star made a huge buzz not just on social media but various outlets due to her impressive portrayal as the young Jun Ji Hyun in the recently debuted "Kingdom" spin-off.

During the interview with the Elle Korea team, Kim Shih Ah gets candid as she talks about her titular role and working alongside the Hallyu queen.

The young actress revealed that she hadn't watched the full version of Netflix's "Kingdom: Ashin of the North" but says that she is excited to see it because of the "Legends of the Blue Sea" star.

"I think Jun Ji Hyun's acting is so great that I really want to watch the episodes," she explained.

In addition, she also shared that the first time she saw the 39-year-old actress was in her 2015 historical movie "Assassination."

As for her role as the young Ashin, Kim Shi Ah revealed how she portrayed the character by creating a solid and resilient persona.

"I didn't want Asin to look weak," she mentioned, adding, "I thought the eyes were important to show a strong figure, and I tried to convey that solidity with my eyes."

"Kingdom: Ashin of the North" illustrates the origin of the plague and the bittersweet revenge of the woman who was abandoned by all.

In the special episode, it hints at how the mysterious character of Ashin played a big part in the widespread chaos that struck the whole kingdom of Joseon.

In addition, the spin-off also displayed what prompted Ashin to seek vengeance.

As the interview continued, Kim Shih Ah also expressed her gratitude towards the "Kingdom" director Kim Sung Hoon and shared that she learned a lot with the veteran PD.

"I learned the tone of the historical drama, and director Kim Seong-hoon asked a lot of my opinions, so it was a great help."

When asked about her happiest moment as an actress, she mentioned the director wrapping up the scene.

"Cut! I always remember when there was a sound and the people in the field applauded," she explained.

Apart from her astounding role in the highly anticipated Netflix spin-off, Kim Shih Ah made a debut in 2019 with the suspense drama "Miss Baek."

Here, she won her first-ever award at the Egyptian Film Festival (SAFF), nabbing the Best Actress trophy for her role as Ji Eun.

Following her big break in showbiz, the child actress managed to appear in several notable dramas, including "The House of Us," "Ashfall," "The Closet," and her upcoming K-drama "Bigwang."
