The K-drama world is slowly being dominated by anti-hero vigilantes theme that showcases unique lead stars. Of course, there are still the all-time favorite fantasy dramas, rom-coms, and suspense-thriller series. But recently, dark heroes have been plaguing our screens - and we can't get enough of them! 

In the second quarter of 2020, "Flower of Evil" made waves due to its intriguing storyline that features Lee Joon Gi's character as Baek Hee Sung, who is hiding his dark past from his homicide detective wife, Cha Ji Won, portrayed by Moon Chae Won.

Topping the list is Song Joong Ki's drama "Vincenzo"!

In February 2021, tvN released its newest crime-black comedy drama, featuring a star-studded lineup Song Joong Ki, Jeon Yeo Bin, Ok Taecyeon and more.

K-drama "Vincenzo" follows the story of a young man named Park Joo Hyeong who moved to Italy after being adopted. He was then raised by a mafia and he became its consigliere years later. Now, he is known as the heartless lawyer Vincenzo Cassano.

He returns to South Korea and gets involved with lawyer Hong Cha Young, played by Jeon Yeo Bin. In his homeland, Vincenzo witnesses the corrupt practices by Babel.

Arguably one of SBS' best anti-hero dramas today, "Taxi Driver" captivated the hearts of the audience since the story focuses on social issues, including bullying, corruption, sentence leniency and more.

It stars Lee Je Hoon as Kim Do Ki, a former member of an elite military group.

After a serial killer murdered his mother, he was recruited by Rainbow Taxi CEO Jang Sung Chul ( Kim Eui Sung) to lead a secret organization that helps victims seek revenge from their perpetrators.

Ji Sung's tvN series is the newest anti-hero K-drama that created a major buzz online. "The Devil Judge" illustrates serving justice to the people where the nation can participate in legal proceedings shown via live broadcast. 

Here, Ji Sung plays the head judge Kang Yo Han, who harbors mysterious intentions. This raises whether his character will be the people's hero or a devil hidden under the judge's robe.

Wrapping up the list is Namgoong Min's "The Veil."

Here, the sought-after actor takes on the role of a top National Intelligence Service (NIS) agent, Han Ji Hyuk. The plot thickens after Ji Hyuk goes missing and completely vanishes from the face of the earth after being assigned to a dangerous task. 

However, he returns with a complete transformation to shake things up and to find out the traitor behind his downfall.
