Confirmed! ‘Penthouse 3’ Extended to Episode 14 + New Still Cuts Display Intense Conflict Between Kim Young Dae and Uhm Ki Joon
After a series of speculation, SBS has finally confirmed the extension of the top-rating K-drama "Penthouse 3."
According to an outlet, a representative from the production team revealed that the suspense thriller series is set to have a 2-episode extension in order to give the viewers a "solid" season finale.
"A two-episode extension has been confirmed in order to achieve a successful conclusion with a more solid ending."
With this, "Penthouse 3: War in Life" will end with 14 episodes instead of 12.
It is safe to say that the crew and cast members have to update their contract given that they initially signed for a 12-episode deal.
As for the extension, this is not the first time that the SBS Friday drama had additional episodes.
In season one, the suspense thriller series ended with 14 episodes, while "Penthouse 2" concluded with 13 episodes.

'Penthouse 3' Episode 8 Teaser: Joo Seok Hoon Faces Joo Dan Tae
Following the update regarding the additional episodes, SBS released new still cuts featuring Kim Young Dae and Uhm Ki Joon as the father-and-son Joo Seok Hoon and Joo Dan Tae.
As seen on the latest "Penthouse 3" teaser, Seok Hoon paid his father a visit at his office; however, it seems that Joo Dan Tae was not delighted by his son dropping by as he stared at him with an unpleasant look.
The same goes for Seok Hoon, who appears furious as he approaches the desk of Dan Tae donning an angry stare.
To recall, Kim Young Dae's character saved Joo Dan Tae from Shim Su Ryeon's (Lee Ji Ah) attempt to kill him and avenge Ohh Yoon Hee (Eugene.)
This is despite knowing that his father was involved in Yoon Hee's death.
In "Penthouse 3" episode 7, he asked his father not to hurt her mother, Shim Su Ryeon, in exchange for saving his life and living with him.
"If you just promise me that you won't let my mother get hurt, then I won't push you away. I will live the life you want me to."

In a series of still cuts, Bae Ro Na (Kim Hyun Soo,) Ha Eun Byul (Choi Ye Bin,) Yoo Je Ni (Jin Ji Hee), and Lee Min Hyuk (Lee Tae Vin) wore an extravagant costume as they performed their piece.
"A feast of medieval Renaissance parties. Audition for a resident musician at Cheongart Center D-1," the caption reads.
Will Bae Ro Na take home the coveted title, or will Ha Eun Byul hinder this.
