CONFIRMED! ‘Hospital Playlist’ Star Jeon Mi Do and Kim Ji Hyun Joining Son Ye Jin in Upcoming Drama ‘Thirty-Nine’
Jeon Mi Do and Kim Ji Hyun are confirmed to star in the upcoming K-drama "Thirty-Nine" alongside Son Ye Jin.
In a report cited by Newsen, JTBC announced the lineup of female lead stars who will be working together on a new romance drama.

The "Hospital Playlist" star will take on the role of the 39-year-old Jung Chan Young, who works as an acting teacher.
To recall, Jeon Mi Do's agency, BISTUS Entertainment, confirmed in March that the actress had received the offer to appear in JTBC's forthcoming drama saying that "she is reviewing the offer."
Meanwhile, Kim Ji Hyun is set to portray Jang Joo Hee, a cosmetics manager at a department store who is on the verge of her 30s.
Both stars will be joining the "Something in the Rain" actress who previously confirmed her appearance.
Early this month, Son Ye Jin's agency, MSTeam Entertainment, announced that the Hallyu star is making a comeback in the small screen.
In addition, this will be her return to the K-drama world after the massive success of "Crash Landing on You" in 2019.
"Son Ye Jin has decided on the upcoming JTBC drama '39' as her next project. This will be her first return to JTBC in three years following the drama 'Pretty Noona Who Buys Me Food.'"
With this, she will be playing the role of Cha Mi Jo, a 39-year-old director of Gangnam Dermatology Clinic who grew up in a wealthy family.

Helmed by "Age of Youth" director Kim Sang Ho and penned by "Run-Off" and "Encounter" screenwriter Yoo Young Ah, the highly anticipated K-drama follows the everyday lives and romance of three friends who are about to turn 40.
The trio met during their second year of high school and have been inseparable since then.
In the JTBC drama, Son Ye Jin's character seems to be almost perfect, but despite her success in her career and her loving family, she still feels that something is missing.
On the other hand, Jung Chan Young, played by Jeon Mi Do, dreams of becoming an actress but ends up being an acting teacher.
As for Kim Ji Hyun's role, due to her timid personality, Jang Joo Hee never experiences having a relationship which made her worry given that she is about to turn 40.
The fresh team-up with the trio has been creating a buzz on social media as fans expressed their excitement towards the new drama.
In addition, the viewers are also thrilled for the on-screen chemistry and synergy that Son Ye Jin, Jeon Mi Do, and Kim Ji Hyun would be creating.
Interestingly, JTBC's "Thirty-Nine" is scheduled to premiere on the first of 2022.
