This is a slight decrease from episode 11, which scored an average nationwide rating of 18.4 percent, peaking at 19.8 percent.
Despite the drama's fluctuating ratings, "Penthouse 3: War In Life" still remained the most-watched program to air on Friday.

'Penthouse 3' Episode 12 Recap: Joo Dan Tae Escapes from Asylum
The revenge drama did not waste any airtime giving the audience a heart-stopping opening featuring Joo Dan Tae (Uhm Ki Joon.)
"Penthouse 3" episode 12 opens with the evil Hera Palace chairman escaping from the mental institute in Fukuoka, Japan.
After he escaped from the asylum, he contacted Joo Seok Hoon (Kim Young Dae) to help him return to Korea, to which he agreed.
This is because he is teaming up with Shim Su Ryeon (Lee Ji Ah) and Logan Lee (Park Eun Seok) to track Dan Tae as he enters the country.

As expected, Dan Tae arrives at Hera Palace disguised as a janitor and hides bombs at every corner.
During the engagement ceremony, Su Ryeon received a call from Dan Tae, instructing her to go to the penthouse, adding, "If you don't listen to me, I could blow up the entire Hera Palace here."
At this time, Logan Lee and Kang Mari and the Hera Palace kids urgently evacuated the residents.
"Penthouse 3" episode 12 showed a different side of Su Ryeon. This time she's bolder, braver, and ready to face the mighty Joo Dan Tae with overflowing vengeance.
With her unwavering motive to end the chairman's wicked plans, she pointed a gun at him and told Dan Tae, "I can finally kill you with my own hands."
He answered with a smirk and raised the bomb's remote control, telling Shim Su Ryeon that she'll end up like her ex, her daughter Min Seol Ah and Oh Yoon Hee in just a snap of his finger.
However, she fired a gun, hitting his shoulder as she shouted, "It's the price of the lives of innocent people who died unfairly because of you!"
After the heart-stopping fight scenes, Dan Tae held the remote control and threatened Su Ryeon of them dying at Hera Palace together.
This prompted her to fire the gun at Dan Tae's head, but he immediately pressed the bomb remote control button as he fell out of the penthouse.
The last scene piqued viewers' curiosity whether this will be the end for the Hera Palace chairman.
