‘Hospital Playlist 2’ Ends Filming + 99ers Jo Jung Suk, Jeon Mi Do, Kim Dae Myung and More Start Shooting New Variety Show
September might be a sad month for Yuljems as "Hospital Playlist 2" is set to wrap up the current season.
However, lead stars Jo Jung Suk, Yoo Yeon Seok, Jung Kyung Ho, Jeon Mi Do, and Kim Dae Myung will return for another fun-filled show.
'Hospital Playlist' Season 2 Completes Filming
According to Sports Seoul, the beloved medical K-drama finishes shooting the season finale on September 6, leaving the viewers with two more episodes until the highly anticipated finale.
The tvN's Thursday night program is slated to broadcast the last episode on September 16, stimulating the curiosity between the lead stars, especially with Yang Seok Hyung and Chu Min Ah, a.k.a the GomGom couple portrayed by Kim Dae Myung and Ahn Eun Jin, and of course, Chae Song Hwa and Lee Ik Jun, played by Jo Jung Suk and Jeon Mi Do.

'Hospital Playlist' Cast Reunites in a New Variety Show
As the top rating medical K-drama bids farewell to the viewers, "Hospital Playlist" lead stars, a.k.a the 99ers, will return for an upcoming variety program with the renowned tv show PD Na Young Suk.
Initially, the first filming session was set for September 6 but moved to September 7 due to some unforeseeable circumstances.
To recall, the surprising news was confirmed by a tvN official stating that Jo Jung Suk, Yoo Yeon Seok, Jung Kyung Ho, Jeon Mi Do, and Kim Dae Myung will be starring in their own variety show.
At the time, the representative revealed that the team and actors are in the "planning stage," so there's no definite answer regarding the title and broadcast schedule.
"The variety show that the five 'Hospital Playlist' actors are starring in is still in the planning stage, so details including the title, exact schedule, and location have not been decided yet. It is being planned with hopes that the actors will wrap up the drama while creating good memories with viewers after concluding filming."
Moreover, the upcoming program would show a glimpse of the five actors behind the camera alongside director Na Young Suk.
Interestingly, the veteran tv show PD made a surprise cameo in "Hospital Playlist 2" episode 10, where he portrayed Jang Young Seok, Mo Ne, and Ma Ne's father.
With the actor and the director's appearance, viewers could expect chemistry and synergy among the stars.
What to Expect After 'Hospital Playlist' Season 2
Aside from their upcoming variety show, the 99ers are expected to appear in several dramas, shows, and films, starting with Jo Jung Suk, who is confirmed to be the guest host in "Saturday Night Live" Korea season 10.
In addition, he is also casted as one of the main characters in the new film "The Land of Happiness.
Yoo Yeon Seok, who plays the pediatric surgeon Ahn Jung Won, joins the cast of thriller crime drama "Suriname."
Meanwhile, Jeon Mi Do will be working alongside Kim Ji Hyun and Hallyu star Son Ye Jin for the much-awaited K-drama "Thirty-Nine."
