Missing the ‘Hospital Playlist’ Cast? tvN Drops Release Date, Teaser for New Variety Show Featuring the 99ers
The hit medical K-drama Hospital Playlist season 2 may have ended, but the 99ers Kim Dae Myung, Jung Kyung Ho, Yoo Yeon Seok, Jo Jung Suk, and Jeon Mi Do aren't leaving just yet as they return with an upcoming variety show.
Yulje fans have another reason to look forward to as the lead stars are set to make a comeback with a new format.
After weeks of teasing the viewers, tvN finally unveiled the details, including the premiere date and teaser of the Hospital Playlist cast members' variety show.
99ers' Mountain Village Playlist Release Date and Teaser
Over the broadcast network's official Instagram, a short clip was released showing the chemistry of the five cast members behind the camera.
Moreover, tvN also revealed the name of the much-awaited program, titled Mountain Village Playlist.
In the teaser, they were gathered in a living room in what appears to be a countryside house as they watched "Hospital Playlist 2."
The boys even teased Jeon Mi Do and Jo Jung Suk about their onscreen romance, playing the neurosurgeon Chae Song Hwa and Lee Ik Jun.
Interestingly, a familiar face also joined the group. Kim Hae Sook, who portrayed Ahn Jung Won's mother, Jung Ro Sa, was also seen at the gathering.
Apart from the veteran actress, the variety show would also feature Shin Hyun Bin, who took on the character of Jung Won's girlfriend, Jang Gyeo Wool.
Mountain Village Playlist release date is slated on October 10 at 8:50 pm KST.
To recall, several outlets mentioned that the variety show had started its production after the Hospital Playlist cast had their last filming session back on September 6.
PD Na Young Suk helmed the forthcoming variety show, who also directed the YouTube series Camping Playlist, featuring the Hospital Playlist cast.
According to reports, the concept of Mountain Village Playlist is identical to Three Meals a Day, illustrating the guests' daily lives in the countryside.
Viewers should expect a fun-filled show with the 99ers and their special guests.

Hospital Playlist Season 2 Special Episode
Although the beloved medical K-drama might not return for a new season, tvN revealed that the Yulje doctors and staff would make a comeback through a special episode.
Following the season finale, tvN delivered surprising news announcing that the special episode will be broadcast on September 23 at 8:45 pm8:45 pm KST.
Hospital Playlist 2 Special will showcase unreleased behind-the-scenes of the cast members and a series of questions and answer with the 99ers.
Moreover, the upcoming episode will also touch on the Loveline commentary among the Wintergarden, IkSong, and GomGom couple, as well as Lee Ik Sun and Kim Ju Won.
To entice the fans, the broadcast network released a teaser featuring Lee Ik Jun's son, Lee Uh Ju, played by the lovable Kim Jun, wearing his little doctor's uniform, inviting the viewers to watch the special episode.
