Confirmed! Ji Chang Wook, SNSD’s Sooyoung and Sung Dong Il to Star in New Drama ‘Tell Me Your Wish’

Ji Chang Wook, SNSD's Sooyoung, and Sung Dong Il were confirmed as lead stars in the upcoming Kdrama Tell Me Your Wish.

It came after A&E Korea officially released a statement announcing the cast lineup featuring the trio. 

The upcoming Kdrama is helmed by "Love Cells" and "The Cursed" movie Kim Yong Wan, alongside screenwriter Baek Mi Kyung, who also penned "Strong Woman Do Bong Soon" and the recently concluded thriller mystery drama "Mine."

Although the lineup of lead stars was announced, the programming is still in talks. 

However, fans could expect that Sung Dong Il, the SNSD member, and Ji Chang Wook's new drama are scheduled to start filming in the second half of the year. 

Get to Know the Tell Me Your Wish Cast

Back on September 1, several outlets cited that the singer-actress is in discussion to join the "Backstreet Rookie" actor to appear as the female lead for the drama. 

At the time, Sooyoung's agency revealed that she was courted for the new Kdrama and is currently reviewing the offer. 

To recall, Ji Chang Wook received the offer in July and was asked to play Yoon Gye Re. 

In the upcoming drama, the 34-year-old South Korean hottie will play a man running away from death.

Yoon Gye Re was forced to serve at a hospital hospice after getting caught up in an accident. 

Interestingly, this is where he will meet Seo Yeon Joo, a nurse at a hospice hospital.

The Girls' Generation member, whose real name is Choi Soo Young, will take on the role of the bubbly nurse with an exuding positive personality. 

Nurse Yeon Joo is more like an angel to the hospice as she gives hope to her fellow frontliners and, most especially to the patients. 

Joining the tell me your name lead stars is the veteran actor Sung Dong Il. 

He portrays Kang Tae Sik, a volunteer at the hospice. The man chose to work for the organization after feeling devastated for losing the meaning of his life.

Apart from the upcoming Kdrama "Tell Me Your Wish," the cast members are set to appear in different dramas. 

Ji Chang Wook has a slew of new dramas in the coming year.

After his one year hiatus on the small screen, fans would get to see his charming face after landing the role of magician Lee Eul in Netflix's "The Sound of Magic" together with Choi Sung Eun and Hwang In Yeop. 

In addition, he will also appear in the rom-com Kdrama "Mr. Right."

As for SNSD's Sooyoung, after her brief appearance in "Move to Heaven," she is confirmed to star in the new film "New Year Blues" with Yoo In Na, "Hospital Playlist" star Yoo Yeon Seok and more.

On the other hand, veteran actor Sung Dong Il is booked and busy this second half of the year till 2022 with several lineup of projects on his way.

The 57-year-old star will appear in Netflix's "Jirisan" with "Kingdom" actors Jun Ji Hyun and Jun Jo Hoon. 

Next is "The Ghost Doctor" and the forthcoming movie "The Wolf Hunting."
