‘Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha’ Episode 13: Kim Seon Ho Continuously Builds Walls Around Him, Shin Min Ah’s Frustration Heightens

"Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha" episode 13 successfully made the viewers weep a bucket of tears, as it highlights the different types of love and relationships of people from different walks of life.

Yoon Hye Jin (Shin Min Ah) and Hong Doo Sik's (Kim Seon Ho) sweet romance slowly starts to become sour.

'Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha' Episode 13: Gongjin Congratulates Doo Sik on His Special Day

The thirteenth episode begins with the lovely and cheerful Gongjin residents celebrating the good-hearted all-rounder Doo Sik's special day. Everyone who is dear to Doo Sik is present, enjoying a potluck feast.

His girlfriend, Hye Jin, also contributed to make his day extra special and prepared a seaweed soup, which is a staple food in birthday celebrations.

The two enjoyed the night together, drinking a bottle of expensive wine in Doo Sik's humble home.

Gongjin's Stories of Love and Loss

In the previous episodes, Young Guk (In Gyo Jin) has been weighing his feelings about his ex-wife, Hwa Jeong (Lee Bong Ryun). Despite how many times he denies it, it is clear that he still cares for the mother of his child.

After his extreme hesitance, he visits their old house in guise to see his son, however, he just wants to see Hwa Jeong to properly apologize for the things he lacked as her husband.

That day, it was reported that a strong typhoon is set to visit the seaside village. Because of this, Hwa Jeong hurries to prepare her house for the catastrophe, taping her windows safely.

But she steps on the edge of the chair, causing her to tumble. Thanks to her ex-husband, who was suspiciously in her home, caught her in her arms, making her heart beat faster.

On the other hand, the new couple Eun Cheol (Kang Hyun Seok) and Mi Seon (Gong Min Jeung) takes their relationship to the next level.

Eun Cheol, who is new to relationships, meticulously looks up for date ideas to make his girlfriend's day special. The gesture and intent alone touched Mi Seon's heart, but she reassures him and wreathes him into a hug.

On the other side of the village, a very pregnant Yun Kyung (Kim Joo Yeon) bursts out in tears after a hot argument with her husband Geum Cheol (Yoon Seok Hyun), who has been nothing but a headache to her.

As the two parents are about to have another child, Yun Kyung feels the sparks between them fade slowly. She hinted at him once and asked him out on a date, but her husband, clueless about how she feels, refuses affirmatively.

One day, she feels so tired as her heavy baby bum weighs her down, Yun Kyung kindly asks her husband to help her keep their supermarket safe from the typhoon, to which Geum Cheol whines.

Because of her bottled up emotions, she quickly explodes and cries helplessly. Geum Cheol seeks refuge in Doo Sik's home to cool down from the fight.

Hye Jin Welcomes a Baby to the World

On her way home, Hye Jin decides to buy some groceries at Bo Ra's Supermarket for the typhoon.

After entering the store, she is welcomed by a crying Yun Kyung. Hye Jin comforts her, reassuring her that she's a great mother, and will become a greater one with the next blessing from above.

Yun Kyung, overwhelmed with her emotions, suddenly felt pain in her stomach. When she looked down, she saw her water broke, and hollered.

Hye Jin, ever quick-witted, phones Doo Sik and asks for help. But to no luck, the road to the nearest hospital is blocked due to the heavy rain and gusting wind.

Feeling brave, Hye Jin sends the soon-to-give-birth Yun Kyung to her house to deliver the baby by herself, with the help of the Gongjin elders who delivered babies naturally before.

The crying Yun Kyung bestowed all her trust to the dentist, despite knowing she isn't her obgynecolist as desperate times call for desperate measures.

Geum Cheol, all drenched with Yun Kyung's favorite fruit in his hands, cries as he holds his wife's hand. He didn't leave her side as she pushed their baby out of her bosom.

After many hours of labor, a healthy sweet baby entered the world, ready to give joy to Yun Kyung and Geum Cheol, and to the rest of Gongjin.

Doo Sik Slowly Drifts Away, Hye Jin's Frustration Grows

At the very beginning, Hye Jin and Doo Sik already have opposing principles and outlooks in life. While Hye Jin is ambitious, Doo Sik is filled with contentment.

But despite their differences, the two both felt a certain liking for each other.

In the previous episodes, Hye Jin and Doo Sik basked in their love and new found romance.

However, it's not always rainbows and butterflies. As their relationship grows, Hye Jin feels Doo Sik becoming more and more distant. He felt like a stranger more than their first encounter on the beach.

Hye Jin dreams to come back to Seoul together with Doo Sik, but the man has another plan excluding the dentist. Sometimes, when she asks him about something, he just answers her plainly, "I don't know yet".

She felt like she was the only one making an effort to get to know each other, baring her soul in front of him, and letting him meet the people close to her heart. Yet, she doesn't know a single thing about him and his past.

Doo Sik expresses his sorry, as he is still not ready to break his walls down yet, leaving Hye Jin frustrated.
