Former The Boyz member Ju Hak Nyeon has been removed from the group and had his exclusive contract terminated following allegations involving a late-night gathering with Japanese adult video (AV) actress and influencer Asuka Kirara, according to a report by Dispatch on June 21.

The incident, which occurred on May 30 in Tokyo, has sparked widespread controversy across South Korea and Japan.
Dispatch reported that Ju Hak Nyeon, along with two male designer acquaintances, met with Asuka Kirara and several women at a private lounge after a night of drinking and karaoke.
The gathering reportedly ended at 6 a.m., after which Ju Hak Nyeon accompanied Kirara to her home, returning to his hotel later that afternoon.
One Hundred, the agency representing The Boyz, confirmed Ju Hak Nyeon's dismissal, stating his actions had "significantly damaged the reputation of the group."
The agency cited "Article 6, clause 3" of his exclusive contract, which allows for termination if an artist engages in conduct that may hinder their entertainment activities or damage the group's public image.
A representative from the agency told Dispatch, "Ju Hak Nyeon did not return to his hotel that night. I asked him where he went, and he said that he went to Asuka Kirara's house. He boasted that he slept with her."
However, the situation became more complicated when Ju Hak Nyeon later recanted his statement, telling the agency he had lied about having sexual relations with Kirara to impress others. "He then went back on his words," the rep added. "
He said that he didn't actually sleep with Asuka Kirara, just lied about it to look good."
In a public statement on June 20, Ju Hak Nyeon denied agreeing to his removal from the group or the termination of his contract. "I was driven out simply for the reason that I attended a private gathering with a famous individual," he wrote, denying any involvement in prostitution.
Asuka Kirara also stated a direct message to Dispatch, reiterating that she has never engaged in prostitution. "Aside from my professional career, I have never once engaged in any form of prostitution," she said.
"Even when I was offered a large payment, I rejected the offer. I do not know why such rumors started in the first place."
Despite requests for further clarification, Kirara declined to give additional remarks to Dispatch.
The scandal has sparked an online debate about the blurred lines between private life and public image for K-pop idols, and whether Ju Hak Nyeon's actions warranted such a severe response.
Ju Hak Nyeon debuted with The Boyz in 2017 and had been active in both South Korea and Japan prior to the incident.
One Hundred has not announced any plans to replace him in the group's lineup.
