Kakao TV's newest coming-of-age drama "Shadow Beauty" released its very first video and poster teasers.
"Shadow Beauty" is based on a popular webtoon of the same name, which follows the story of a bullied and a loner high school student Goo Ae Jin, played by Shim Dal Gi, who leads a doublie life as a social media influencer and beauty guru under the screen name "Genie," who will be played by fromis_9 Nagyung.
The newly released video teaser featured the delighted Goo Ae Jin, who scrolls through a flood of compliments and comments praising Genie's beauty, her "alter ego," or "enhanced self."
"She's a goddess," "What does it feel like to live with such a beautiful face like this?" and "Your beauty is breathtaking" are most of the comments which made Goo Ae Jin feel good about herself while lying on her bed.
However, a different comment alarmed Goo Ae Jin, "I saw Genie today and she looked very different from her photos..."

Goo Ae Jin couldn't hide her horror and panics at the idea of her dark secret being found out after reading the comments.
On the other hand, the new poster teaser also contains an alarming comment, which reads, "The unexpected double life of a social media beauty with 770,000 followers."
Attention is focused on how Goo Ae Jin transforms flawlessly into Genie and what kind of synergy Shim Dal Gi and Nagyung will show in the upcoming drama.

'Shadow Beauty' Pre-Production and What We Know For Now
Kakao TV's forthcoming drama "Shadow Beauty" starring Shim Dal Gi, fromis_9 Nagyung, Golden Child Bomin, and PENTAGON Hongseok is directed and played by the director and writer Bang Soo In.
The drama will consist of 13 episodes with 20 minutes of running time each.
"Shadow Beauty" is slated to air for the first time on Saturday, November 20, on Kakao TV.
