"Squid Game" star Park Hae Soo challenges himself once again as he diversifies his acting roles and transforms into a homicide detective in new action crime thriller drama "Chimera."

OCN's newest drama, "Chimera," is set to decorate the Saturday and Sunday nights with a heart-shaking explosive murder that took place in the past but led to a serial murder case 35 years later.

In the drama, Park Hae Soo takes on the role of the homicide detective Cha Jae Hwan, an enthusiastic yet perfectionist detective who never misses even a dust of evidence whenever investigating.

Park Hae Soo, who gained worldwide popularity and critical acclaim through the hit series "Squid Game," said, "I'm grateful to come back as detective Cha Jae Hwan. I'm quite nervous but at the same time, I'm just really happy to be able to meet the viewers once again through "Chimera."

Besides the actor, "Mouse" actor Lee Hee Jun and Hollywood star Soo Hyun (also known as Claudia Kim) are also part of the main cast ensemble.

Lee Hee Jun, a fellow veteran, appeared in many hit dramas and films such as "Vincenzo," "The Legend of the Blue Sea," "Miss Baek," and "The Flu."

On the other hand, Soo Hyun, also known internationally as Claudia Kim, appeared in the much loved film series "The Avengers: Age of Ultron".

She also starred in several popular dramas, "7th Grade Civil Servant," "Monster," and "Standby."

In the drama, Lee Hee Jun takes on the role of a surgeon who is involved in a harrowing murder case. Soo Hyun portrays the role of Eugene, an American-Korean criminal profiler who once worked for the FBI.

The actor recently graced the small screen with his hit drama series "Squid Game" together with Lee Jung Jae, Wi Ha Joon, and Jung Ho Yeon.

Now, he is set to show his amazing acting prowess once again with OCN's "Chimera". On October 25, ahead of the drama's big premiere, the actor revealed his honest thoughts on the drama as well as his new role.

"Chimera" is a story which consists of characters who are filled with passion and purpose in life. It is an endless heart-shaking and tension-filled drama, and it would be good for the viewers who want to watch something new and exciting," he shared.

In addition to that, he also described his character, Cha Jae Hwan, with fondness, "Jae Hwan is a hot-blooded detective with a surge of enthusiasm in his work. Although he is colder than anyone else when it comes to investigation and work, he is an attractive character."
