Kim Sae Ron will appear as one of the main characters in the upcoming Netflix original series "Hunting Dogs."

According to Sports Chosun, a representative confirmed that the 21-year-old South Korean beauty would be headlining tvN's action noir series.

The former child star will join Woo Do Hwan and Park Sung Woong, who are currently in talks to appear in the forthcoming Kdrama. 

Following the announcement regarding Kim Sae Ron's new drama, her "Hunting Dogs" character is yet to be revealed. 

Helmed by "Midnight Runners" and "The Divine Fury" PD Kim Joo Hwan, the upcoming tvN series is based on the webtoon of the same name that highlights a noir action drama.

Moreover, the upcoming Kdrama will have a total of eight episodes and will be co-produced under Studio N and Seed Films. 

"Hunting Dogs" follows the story of three men who are trying to get out of their massive debt.

Kim Sae Ron recently impressed the viewers with her superb acting skills in "The Great Shaman Ga Doo Shim," where she took on the role of the badass evil spirit-chasing shaman named Ga Doo Shim.

The former child star wowed the fans with her talent and her undeniable chemistry with Nam Da Reum. 

Due to their charm and the Kdrama's popularity, several fans are looking forward to "The Great Shaman Ga Doo Shim 2," but the Joo Brothers, who wrote the webtoon, expressed their thoughts about the possibility of releasing a sequel. 

Although they are overwhelmed by the positive response, the writers say that they have no plans for season 2 at the moment. 

"There are no concrete plans regarding Season 2. However, we want to tell the story of more evolved evil spirits and matured main characters to match that."

It is safe to say that viewers will be seeing more of Kim Sae Ron in other projects, such as her new drama "Hunting Dogs."

Kim Sae Ron Returns to the Big Screen with New Film 'Everyday, We'

The "Mirror of the Witch" star is booked and busy in the coming year since, aside from her upcoming Kdrama, Kim Sae Ron has been casted as one of the main characters in "Every Day, We."

Based on the KakaoPage webtoon, the upcoming teenage romance film highlights friendship and the thrilling experience of first love. 

In the soon-to-be-released movie, the actress will portray basketball player Han Yeo Wool.

Kim Sae Ron is joined by newcomer Lee Chae Min, Cherry Bullet's Yuju, and Ryu Ui Hyun from "River Where the Moon Rises."

"Every Day, We" is produced by Wise Wold and Hanteo Global, the genius behind the success of "Come Back Home" and "The Labyrinth."
