‘Jirisan’ Episode 8: Jun Ji Hyun and Ju Ji Hoon Faces Another Massive Wildfire at Mount Jirisan + Go Min Si Meets the Culprit
Jun Ji Hyun and Ju Ji Hoon's skills were put to the test once again in 'Jirisan' episode 8.
Moreover, it also hints at the danger that Go Min Si is bound to face upon accidentally meeting the culprit.
'Jirisan' Episode 8 Highlights: Kang Hyun Jo Gets Trapped in a Blazing Storage Room
Just when the mount rangers thought that the fire was under control, Seo Yi Kang (Jun Ji Hyun) and the rest of the team were caught up in a big wildfire, and this time, more civilians were affected.
"Jirisan" episode 8 also starts with Kang Hyun Jo (Ju Ji Hoon) at the burning storage house together with the three kids.
To recall, episode 7 showed that someone locked Hyun Jo in the area with the intention of killing him.
The flames are slowly covering the entire storage area; luckily, one of the children told the ranger that they could escape through a hole.
He lets the kids escape first and runs into the woods as the big flaming tree falls into the ground.
Kang Hyun Jo tried to follow the children but was too weak to climb up to the mountain.
Luckily, firefighters were able to rescue him and told them about the possible location of the kids.

Seo Yi Kang Survives a Great Disaster
Jo Dae Jin (Sung Dong Il), Jung Goo Young (Oh Jung Se), Park Il Hae (Jo Han Chul), and the team of Bidam Station, alongside other park rangers, were notified about the growing wildfire that is about to engulf a large area of the mountain.
The group was also advised that three kids were trapped in the middle of the forest.
Being the chief, Jo Dae Jin is eager to save the children, especially after failing to rescue a civilian during the potato bomb incident.
Here, they tried to search in the middle of the mountain but failed due to massive flames in the area.
In addition, the group was also worried about Seo Yi Kang, who went through the area without her fire equipment.
Fortunately, Hyun Jo saw an empty fire cabinet through his drone and notified the chief that Yi Kang might be in the area.
As the rangers attempted to infiltrate the target location, they heard a radio call from Yi Kang.
"Jirisan" episode 8 also featured how the female park ranger almost risked her life to save the children.
After hours of rescuing and searching the area, the team was able to save the three kids as well as Yi Kang.
Right before bringing her to the hospital, he tells Kang Hyun Jo about Lee Se Wook, whom he found dead at the mountain.
Kang Hyun Jo Believes He is the Next Target
At the hospital, Hyun Jo visited his senior, who is still recovering from minor injuries.
He raised him about his feeling that he might be the culprit's next target and pointed out the incident at the storage room.
Moreover, he also believed that Se Wook was just an accomplice and pointed out that the killer disguised the incident as an accident.
Lee Da Won Sees the Culprit
"Jirisan" episode 8 also featured the present day where Yi Kang is still investigating the man behind all these mysteries with the help of the rookie Lee Da Won (Go Min Si.)
One of her tasks is to visit the mountain and update the cameras that they've installed.
During her hike, Da Won meets a man wearing black gloves similar to the culprit. Another surprising clue is that the man also dons a jacket with a range badge on his arms, suggesting that he is among the rangers.
