Rising actor and new K-Drama heartthrob Kang Hoon from MBC's "The Red Sleeve Cuff" sat down for an interview and shared his experiences of working in the drama.
Kang Hoon Talks About His Acting Journey in 'The Red Sleeve Cuff'
Kang Hoon plays the role of Hong Deok Ro in "The Red Sleeve Cuff." At the beginning of the series he was dubbed as the most good-looking man in Joseon that every court lady has a crush on. But as the story progresses, his true identity starts to show especially his relationship towards Yi San (Lee Junho).
Most of the viewers hate his ambitious character but it was also a big break for him in which Kang Hoon displayed his potential as an actor. Now that the drama is near to end, the male star revealed the behind the scenes stories of how it was like to work with versatile actors in one project.
Kang Hoon began by sharing that he is happy about the series because his parents really liked it and his friends and colleagues are very supportive of him who also watches the drama every week.
"The Red Sleeve Cuff" star confessed the secret of the success of the drama, "All the characters' emotions were powerfully presented by the cast, other historical series focus on politics or romance, but 'The Red Sleeve Cuff' is balanced of different genres."
Kang Hoon also mentioned that he focused on expressing his emotions through his eyes as it was what the director's wanted him to do. Which successfully captivated the viewers attention, many were affected by his acting and even though he plays as an antagonist, he received favorable comments from the public with his performance.

Kang Hoon Praises Lee Junho and Lee Se Young for Their Work Ethics
He revealed that he lost 6kgs while doing the project. Meanwhile, Kang Hoon also shared that he was grateful to work with Lee Junho and Lee Se Young in "The Red Sleeve Cuff." The actor said that the two were very good and passionate when it comes to acting. The lead stars helped and gave him advice every time Kang Hoon is having a hard time in a specific scene.

The interviewer mentioned Lee Junho and Lee Se Young's nomination for the upcoming MBC Drama Awards and being supportive that he is, Kang Hoon wishes that the two can win the grand prize for they are both good at their crafts.
Before the interview concluded, Kang Hoon said that he wants to continue acting without a break and to play more challenging roles in the future.
