‘The Silent Sea’ Actor Gong Yoo Reportedly Cast to Join Kim Tae Ri in New K-Drama ‘The Devil’
Gong Yoo might have his immediate drama comeback this coming 2022 with Kim Tae Ri.
Gong Yoo Courted to Lead Kim Eun Hee's 'The Devil' Alongside Kim Tae Ri
On December 29, following the announcement that "Space Sweepers" actress Kim Tae Ri to possibly star in Kim Eun Hee's drama "The Devil," entertainment insiders revealed that Gong Yoo might also join the lead cast of the series.
To clarify the news, the "Goblin" actor's agency Management Soop confirmed that Kim Eun Hee's "The Devil" is one of the many projects that was proposed to Gong Yoo.
"The Devil" is Kim Eun Hee's newest project that is currently receiving lots of attention for it might be one of the exciting dramas to be produced in 2022. What thrilled the public more was whether Gong Yoo would accept the offer to star in the series.
Kim Eun Hee is the creative writer who penned the famous tvN drama "Signal," where she bagged trophies at the 52nd Baeksang Arts Awards and APAN Star Awards in 2016 as Best Screenplay. She is also the brilliant mind who wrote the script for Netflix's original series "Kingdom" and tvN's "Jirisan" starring Jun Ji Hyun and Ju Ji Hoon.
On the other hand, if Gong Yoo and Kim Tae Ri confirmed their participation in the project, it will be their first drama together.

What's New About Gong Yoo and Kim Tae Ri
Before their potential drama collaboration with "The Devil" Gong Yoo and Kim Tae Ri were busy with their solo activities.
Gong Yoo made his much-awaited drama return with Netflix's new series "The Silent Sea" that aired on December 24. He played the character of Captain Han Yun Jae. "Kingdom" actress Bae Doona and idol-actor Lee Joon are also part of the main cast.

Meanwhile, Kim Tae Ri is about to make her small screen comeback with Nam Joo Hyuk in "Twenty-Five Twenty-One" and is slated to meet the viewers on February 12 on tvN.
The actress also finished filming her sci-fi movie "Alien" together with its star-studded cast, namely Kim Woo Bin, Ryu Jun Yeol, So Ji Sub, Yum Jung Ah, Lee Honey, Jo Woo Jin, Kim Eui Sung, and Yoo Jae Myung.
