Lee Junho, Lee Se Young, and Lee Deok Hwa Compete for This Year's Daesang
Hours before the award ceremony begins, fans anticipate who among nominees for the 2021 MBC Drama Awards will be bring home titles. Some of the strongest candidates are from the record-breaking Friday-Saturday series "The Red Sleeve Cuff."
On December 22, it was announced that Lee Junho and Lee Se Young were nominated for the Best Couple category.
K-media outlets then released the names of "The Red Sleeve Cuff" stars who earned nominations for the upcoming award show.
Veteran actor Lee Deok Hwa, idol-actor Lee Junho, and Lee Se Young are competing for the Daesang.
Lee Deok Hwa, who played as King Yeongjo, made a great contribution in attracting more viewers. As an actor who has been in the industry for 50 years, he carefully portrayed a challenging role of a king.
Lee Se Young, alongside onscreen partner Lee Junho, remain the most buzzworthy actors for five consecutive weeks.
Idol-actor Lee Junho is making a huge leap this 2021 as he is also nominated for the Daesang, along with his co-stars. His portrayal as Yi San in "The Red Sleeve Cuff" receives massive praises from viewers.

'The Red Sleeve Cuff' Star Kang Hoon Nominated for Best Rookie Actor
Adding on the list is rising actor Kang Hoon. He got his first-ever drama nomination this year due to his excellent portrayal in the drama as an ambitious royal secretary Hong Deok Ro. The 30-year-old star is nominated in the Best Rookie Actor category.
