Rain’s Agency Reacts to Allegations Involving the ‘Ghost Doctor’ Star + To Take Legal Actions Against Malicious Commenters

Rain's agency, Sublime Artist Agency, addresses the rumors about the actor being called a "cheapskate."

It came after a Youtuber called out the "Ghost Doctor" star, saying that the Hallyu star is "stingy" and doesn't buy his juniors food despite owning multi-million dollar assets.

The said video was posted in April 2021 by a former entertainment reporter turned Youtuber.

Following the accusations about the actor, Sublime Artist Agency released an official statement in response to allegations regarding his money-spending behavior.

The agency said that the videos circulating on social media are based on "false information," ruining the name of their artist.

"We have also checked the amount of posts and comments that spread false information, defame our artist, attack him personally, criticize him maliciously, and spread unconfirmed rumors," the statement reads.

In addition, Rain's agency noted that some Youtubers create "Fake news" to rake views and unfortunately, they tend to spread made-up rumors against the actor.

Due to this, they warned that they are planning to take legal actions against malicious commenters and will no longer be lenient about the issue.

"We will take all possible legal action against behavior that harms our artist. There will be no lenience or cooperation as we pursue both civil and criminal liability in these cases."

The singer-actor is the fifth richest Kpop idol next to G-Dragon, as cited by Otakucart.

Rain's net worth is estimated at 55 million USD, and he owns a mansion at Cheongdam with his wife Kim Tae Hee, which is valued at 42 million USD.

Rain's Comeback Drama' Ghost Doctor'

Apart from his jaw-dropping assets, Rain returned to the small screen with his new Kdrama "Ghost Doctor" with Kim Bum, UEE, APink's Son Naeun and more.

To recall, his last tv project was the 2019 MBC series "Welcome 2 Life" alongside Kwak Si Yang and Im Ji Yeon.

Interestingly, Rain took on the role of egoistic neurosurgeon Cha Young Min in "Ghost Doctor," who got intertwined with the first-year medical student and the heir of Eunsang Medical center, Ko Seung Tak.

During the press conference ahead of the drama premiere, Rain spoke about his Kdrama comeback and mentioned how he used to watch medical series like "General Hospital" and would often stay up all night binge-watching the show.

"I want 'Ghost Doctor' to be a drama like that. I have a lot of respect for the director for creating such a vision. When I saw the teaser, even the sound had a fairy-tale quality. It's a family-oriented drama, so everyone can enjoy it," he said.

tvN's "Ghost Doctor" airs every Monday and Tuesday, while episode 5 will broadcast on January 17, 2022, at 9:30 PM KST.

Apart from it, Rain is also in talks to lead the cast of the Chinese series "Endless August.
