According to Nielsen Korea, "Ghost Doctor" episode 5 garnered a nationwide average of 5.7 percent while 6.7 percent in metropolitan areas.
With this, Kim Bum and Rain's Kdrama is the second top Monday and Tuesday series for the current week.
'Ghost Doctor' Episode 5 Recap: Ko Seung Tak's Hidden Secret
The fifth episode highlights Ko Seung Tak's ability to see ghosts. It turns out that he had the ability since he was a kid.
After surviving an accident with his father, the young Ko Seung Tak waited outside the hospital with his mother.

An ambulance got near them and saw a woman crying and surprisingly it was the patient from the ambulance.
Right then and there, he knew that he could see spirits just like his experience with Cha Young Min.
Ko Seung Tak Performed Another Successful Surgery
Cha Young Min knew that the first-year medical student could see and hear him. With this, Ko Seung Tak asked his senior to save the patient first.
Initially, Dr. Cha didn't want to continue the surgery because he found out that the Administration Deputy Chief Han Seung Won and Dr. Ahn Tae Hyun were planning to frame the young doctor, but he caved in because it was the patient's needs.
The observers, including Chief Surgeon Ban Tae Sik and everyone in the room, were stunned to see how Ko Seung Tak successfully performed a complicated operation.
Following this, Cha Young Min confronted his junior about his secret. Ko Seung Tak admitted that he was able to see spirits, not just him but others as well.
"Let's just say that you were the 250th spirit that I've seen so far," he said.
Ko Seung Tak Becomes Instant Celebrity
Due to his successful operation, Ko Seung Tak was dubbed as the hero of Eunsang University Medical Center, but of course, he knew that he didn't deserve the title.
At the hospital, a reporter approached him and asked for an interview, but he politely declined.
However, he was surprised to see an article written about him praising him for his courage and dedication as a doctor.
He knew that his cousin, Han Seung Won, leaked the information and even revealed the accident that happened to him in the past.
As for Han Seung Won, it was all in his plan. He is building up his name and plans to destroy it at the right time. This is because he wanted to be the heir of the hospital and not Seung Tak.
Cha Young Min's Secret Fund
Ko Seung Tak met a young patient named Seong Joo and learned about their struggle to get the surgery because of financial issues.
His fellow resident intern mentioned that Dr. Cha Young Min has a special fund that helps patients with their hospitalization bills.
Unfortunately, Cha Young Min is the only one who can access these funds and because of his status, the hospital was not able to grant some of the patient's requests.
In "Ghost Doctor" episode 5, both Cha Young Min and Ko Seung Tak encountered a heart-wrenching scenario with a patient.
Dr. Cha watched Jang Se Jin perform CPR on a male patient. It turned out that the patient in ICU was the motorcycle rider he encountered during the accident.
"Will I die for doing this to you?" the man asked.
In another scene, Ko Seung Tak was surprised to find the young patient in his room and asked the same question.
"Doctor, will I die?" the kid asked.
