Hwang In Yeop Gives Update on His Comeback Drama ‘Why Oh Soo Jae?’
Korean drama heartthrob Hwang In Yeop gives a glimpse of his new role in his small screen return with "Why Oh Soo Jae?".
Hwang In Yeop Returns on the Small Screen with 'Why Oh Soo Jae?' and 'The Sound of Magic'
In the second half of 2021, "True Beauty" actor made headlines as he was confirmed to star in two new dramas.
He confirmed his participation in Netflix's original series "The Sound of Magic," also known as "Annarasumanara," a fantasy drama based on a webtoon of the same name. Joining him are Hallyu superstar Ji Chang Wook and Choi Sung Eun.
The filming production reportedly began in the last quarter of 2021. "The Sound of Magic" is also included in the drama lineup that Netflix Korea, released in January.
Hwang In Yeop Updates Fans on Upcoming Legal Series 'Why Oh Soo Jae?'
Aside from the Netflix series, Hwang In Yeop will meet viewers first with his legal-romance drama "Why Oh Soo Jae?" in which he will play as the male lead.
On February 8, he took to Instagram and surprised fans after uploading a photo of him writing the drama's title on the black board, hinting that he's currently filming the series.
In less than 24 hours, his post already gained more than two million likes, proving that fans are already excited for his much-awaited small screen comeback.
He takes the role of Gong Chan, a law school student who will fall in love with cold-hearted lawyer and university professor Oh Soo Jae, to be played by Seo Hyun Jin. Their story starts after a wrong decision they made in the past.
While they are trying to fix their lives, Soo Jae and Gong Chan develop feelings for each other.

Previously, Viki released the first video teaser of the forthcoming series, in which it showcased a sneak peek of how Oh Soo Jae will restart her career in the law university as a professor.

In addition, "My Roommate is a Gumiho" actor and rising star Bae In Hyuk is also part of the cast and will portray the character of Choi Yoon Sang, a sophomore at Seojoong University's law school.
'Why Oh Soo Jae?' Premiere Date
"Why Oh Soo Jae?" is directed by Park Soo Jin and written by rookie writer Kim Ji Eun. The legal series is slated to premiere in the first half of 2022 on SBS.
