Jeon Jong Seo, Jin Seon Kyu To Headline TVING Disaster Thriller Drama 'Ransom'

TVING's new original disaster thriller drama "Ransom" confirmed the casting of Jeon Jong Seo and Jin Seon Kyu on February 24!

Based on the award-winning short film of the same name, which is directed by Lee Chung Hyeon, "Ransom" centers around the story of the ruthless struggles of people who try to survive the chaos created by a complete disconnection from the outside world.

The short film swept the awards in the 11th Paris Korean Film Festival, 14th Asiana International Short Film Festival and more. With that said, the production unit aims to give a different spice to the new drama through the casting of sterling actors Jeon Jong Seo and Jin Seon Kyu.

In addition to that, TVING's new drama will be produced as an expanded story. Each episode is filmed with the One Take technique where video is taken all at once with halt in order to bring out the charms and intensity of the scenes.

The drama stars Jin Seon Kyu as Noh Hyung Soo, an ordinary man who is caught up in an unexpected situation after his life is shaken by an unprecedented earthquake.

Jin Seon Kyu, who has a wide variety of filmography, amplifies the anticipation. He said, "I'm determined to do it, especially when I learned that it will only be filmed once and challenge myself."

Opposite Park Joo Young, a bargaining expert who doesn't choose her opponent. She enters the world of darkness and turns it into an opportunity. She will be played by rising actress Jeon Jong Seo.

She appeared in "Call" and "Burning" and showed an outstanding performance. When asked about "Ransom," she answered, "It's such a huge opportunity, meaningful and high quality. I will do my best to prove myself and my acting skills so please look forward to it."
