'Thirty-Nine' Episode 7: Son Ye Jin Encounters Inconvenient Truth
Finally, the long wait is over as the beloved trio Son Ye Jin, Jeon Mi Do, and Kim Ji Hyun returns for "Thirty-Nine" episode 7.
Following the one-week hiatus brought by the national election, the Wednesday and Thursday night K-drama gave viewers an unexpected twist in the main characters' story.
'Thirty-Nine' Episode 7 Recap: The Unexpected Visitor
The seventh episode began with a mysterious woman showing up at Jang Joo Hee's (Kim Ji Hyun) house.
The trio, who was just about to leave Joo Hee's place, gets to see a glimpse of the woman. This might just be Cha Mi Jo's (Son Ye Jin) biological mother.
Welcoming the unexpected visitor brought tension to Joo Hee's mother. Moreover, she was shocked to hear that the woman missed her daughter, whom she called Ji-Min. Joo Hee's mother reminded her how she abandoned her child when she was just an infant.

The scene raises speculation that Cha Mi Jo's biological mother wants to reunite with her.
"Thirty-Nine" episode 7 also continued to show what happened when Kim Ji Seok's (Lee Moo Saeng) wife tried to barge into Jung Chan Young's (Jeon Mi Do) house.
As seen in the previous episode, Cha Mi Jo knelt and begged the wife to turn a blind eye this time. However, it took a toll on her health. Thankfully, Kim Seon Woo (Yeo Woo Jin) came at the right time and brought her to the hospital.
After being discharged, she invited her to go camping for a breather. Here, he gets honest with Mi Jo and tells her that it is okay to look after her friends, especially Chan Young, but she should also think of herself.
The next day, Jin Seok met Mi Jo at his office and told her that she knew how his wife almost stormed into Chan Young's place to make a seen.
The same goes for Chan Young, who tells Seon Woo that she knew about what just happened.
Jung Chan Young's Bucket List
In the previous episode, Jung Chan Young made a bucket list of things that she wants to accomplish before she dies. One of which is fulfilling her dream to become an actress.
She mustered up the courage and went to the audition for a supporting role. Luckily she got in. However, as the casting director tells Chan Young about her schedule, she asked if she could film her part earlier. Chan Young revealed that she does not have much time left.
"Thirty-Nine" episode 7 also featured a background story on why Chan Young failed to show up in her audition when she was just starting up. It came after she and Jin Seok got involved in an accident. This led her to skip the casting for her dream role.
Cha Mi Jo Learns About Her Biological Mother
Another wish on Chan Young's bucket list is for Mi Jo to meet her biological mother.
After a few drinks with her best friend and Jin Seok at Chinatown restaurant, Mi Jo decides to go for a walk to sober up and accidentally meets her mother.
She casually talked about Chan Young's wish for her and told her mom how absurd that was. However, her mother tells her she knew who her birth mother was, which surprised Mi Jo.
