The long-awaited premiere for Lee Min Ho and Youn Yuh Jung's drama "Pachinko" finally happened on March 25. Just what most of the people expected, it immediately gained attention and became the talk of the town.
But what made the viewers stunned was actress Kim Min Ha. She continues to receive favorable reviews worldwide for her new drama role as Sunja.
"Pachinko" originated from the novel penned by Korean-American writer and journalist Min Jin Lee. Her work is named one of the New York Times bestseller books. The title of the novel is also used in the drama adaptation.
"Pachinko" depicts the delicate and warm story of hopes and dreams of a Korean immigrant family. Their journey takes place between Korea, Japan, and the United States during the Japanese colonial period.
Sunja, who was born with strong vitality, falls in love with a man whom she later knows is a married man. The viewers will witness the exceptional chronicle of three generations of war and peace, love and parting, victory and judgment that revolve around Sunja.
