'Thirty-Nine' Episode 12 Recap: Jung Chan Young's Surprise Brunch
After almost two months, viewers reached the finale episode of "Thirty-Nine," which follows the story of a unique friendship between Cha Mi Jo (Son Ye Jin,) Jung Chan Young (Jeon Mi Jo,) and Jang Joo Hee (Kim Ji Hyun).
As expected, the JTBC series never fails to deliver heart-wrenching scenes between the trio as they face their worst fear.

"Thirty-Nine" episode 12 starts with Chan Young being wheeled to the hospital. Her health is deteriorating, but she wants to stay strong for her loved ones.
In one scene, Chan Young decides to visit a service, observing the visitors and imagining what it would be like when her time comes. This is definitely one of the heartbreaking moments as Chan Young mentally prepared herself.
She then hands over Cha Mi Jo a list of people she wants to attend the funeral and says, "We're so close and you're so precious to me."
Definitely, one of the highlights of "Thirty-Nine" episode 12 is how Mi Jo and Jang Joo Hee turned Chan Young's list into an unexpected gathering with the people she loves.
The duo is indeed the best one could ever have as they orchestrated a brunch attended by people on Chan Young's list, spending a nice meal and happy moments with the people she adores dearly.
At one point, she expressed her gratitude to her friends and family, saying that although the amount of time she spent in this world is enough, the overall is how you live your life to the fullest and impact others.
The Final Wish
Unfortunately, the thing that they dread the most happened.
Mi Jo received a call from Kim Jin Seok (Lee Moo Saeng) notifying them about Chan Young's passing, making the duo feel devastated.
Slowly trying to cope with grief and pain, Mi Jo fulfills Chan Young's last wish. The first is for her to visit her mom and give her the most expensive gifts.
The second is accompanying her parents for annual medical check-ups while the third is dining out with Kim Jin Seok so he won't feel lonely.
Cha Mi Jo Receives Special Gift from Jung Chan Young
Weeks, days, and months have passed since Chan Young left them with happy memories.
Interestingly, just when she felt down, she received a package from Joo Hee - it was a present prepared by Chan Young.
Aside from the bangle, the gift includes a video message for Mi Jo.
One of the things that Chan Young said was how she was overwhelmed by the love of Mi Jo.
