IU and Jang Geun Suk Effect Not Working, 4% in Ratings!
It didn't matter that Jang Geun Suk and IU were present. After four episodes of "Pretty Man", the ratings fell to 4%.
According to Neilsen Korea, on November 20th, KBS 2TV "Pretty Man" started with a fresh start 6.3% and has been dropping every episode with 5.4% on the episode aired on November 27th and fell to last place.
Moreover, on November 28th, the 4th episode of "Pretty Man" fell to 4.3% showing a big drop as people were disappointed greatly.
Therefore, MBC "Medical Top Team" ratings had fallen to 5.1% but it still rated 2nd place among Wednesday/Thursday drama. SBS "Heirs" had its highest ratings at 21.1%.
On this day, "Pretty Man" showed the true growth story of Dok Go Ma Tae (played Jang Geun Suk) and his deadly charisma and the never-ending love Kim Bo Tong (played by IU) toward Ma Tae. In addition, it showed the one-sided love of David Choi (played by Lee Jang Woo) towards to Kim Bo Tong in a comical way.
Meanwhile, "Pretty Man" shows pretty boy Dok Ko Ma Tae with nationally prized looks and charisma gains the hearts of the ten most successful women who are in the top 1% of South Korea and gains their know-how to mature into a true "Pretty Man" and therefore is a success story of Ma Tae. It is broadcast every Wednesday/Thursday at 10PM.
