‘The Witch 2’ Director Reveals Why He Wants Lee Jong Suk in the Movie
Ahead of its long-awaited premiere, the cast, and director of the movie "The Witch 2" attended a press conference where they revealed more about the project.

The suspense adventure film "The Witch" will finally meet the viewers in theaters starting this June. Lead stars Shin Shi A, Park Eun Bin, Seo Eun Su, Jin Goo, Sung Yu Bin, and Cho Min Soo were all present at the event. Meanwhile, Lee Jong Suk failed to join the cast due to his drama filming schedule.
In particular, director Park Hoon Jung revealed the reason for casting Lee Jong Suk in the movie. Mr. Park said that when he worked on "V.I.P," where he first collaborated with the "While You Were Sleeping" lead star, he already saw how great Jong Suk is and way smarter than he thought when it comes to acting.

Park Hoon Jung said, "Lee Jong Suk is a smarter actor than I thought, and since then, there was no other alternative talent when I thought which actor would be the most suitable to revive the character's charm."

The South Korean star will play the role of Jang in "The Witch 2," and the director added, "It's a character that hasn't been explained much here (in the movie), but just by moving, I needed actor Lee Jong Suk to recognize that Jang's character has a secret and has a story to tell."

Furthermore, "The Witch 1," which was released in 2018 successfully attracted 3.18 million viewers.The story revolves around what will happen when forces chasing "Her" gather in front of a girl who survived alone in a devastating secret research institute.
Meanwhile, the star-studded and suspense movie is about to premiere on June 15 in theaters.
Lee Jong Suk Has New Upcoming Movie 'Decibel'
Aside from "The Witch 2," K-drama actor Lee Jong Suk is expected to make an immediate silver screen return with the movie "Decibel." The production already finished filming in the last quarter of 2021.
Fans and viewers are finally seeing the "Pinocchio" actor wearing his navy uniform in the movie in the second half of this year. There's no confirmed date yet regarding its release but it has a high possibility that the film will hit cinemas this year due to the public's demand.
Actors Kim Rae Won, Cha Eun Woo, Jung Sang Hoon, Park Byung Eun, Lee Sang Hee, and Jo Dal Hwan are also part of the cast.
Furthermore, Lee Jong Suk will have his much-awaited small screen comeback with the legal-romance series "Big Mouse" along with SNSD's YoonA. The drama is slated to premiere in July on MBC.
